"You" season four is slated to be released sometime this year and will have some new additions. The previous season ended with Love's death and the lead character, Joe Goldberg, pinning all the town's deaths on her and leaving.

With that kind of end, it's no surprise that fans can't wait for the next season. Filming for season four could kick off anytime now, although fans speculate it could be between March and June this year.

The show's newest season will have some new additions to the cast. Netflix announced via Twitter that "Euphoria" star Lukas Gage would join the cast as Adam. The character was described as a young man from a wealthy home and a possible rival for Goldberg.

Gage Will Be In 'You'

Netflix recently announced the addition of "Euphoria" actor Gage to the newest season of "You." The 26-year-old is known for his roles in movies like the HBO mini-series, "The White Lotus," "American Vandal," "Euphoria," and several others.

Netflix's Twitter account posted a picture of Gage beside the main character, Goldberg. The caption read, "Lukas Gage is coming for You. In @YouNetflix Season 4, Gage plays Adam, the warm, funny, and hard-partying son of a wealthy family who is famous for failing to meet their standards. But the one thing he did learn from his parents is to do whatever it takes to get what you want."

Gage's Character In 'You'

Gage's character Adam is from a wealthy family and thinks of himself as an accomplished businessman. However, the character continuously fails to meet his family's standards, and they see him as anything but a successful businessman.

Adam seems to know that and tries to present himself as a kind person and an accommodating party host. However, like most characters in the series, Adam seems to have something sinister about him. He knows this and attempts to hide his less pleasant side under an alarming amount of drugs and alcohol.

Adam also takes several risky moves, making him more of a burden to his family. He is also obviously manipulating his friends, but his girlfriend is another matter. Adam is in a rather tumultuous relationship with an affluent woman, although viewers aren't sure if it's just another front in his shady life.

Will Cardi B Make An Appearance In 'You?'

While the studio confirms nothing, another celebrity could make a cameo appearance in the next season of "You." In October last year, Cardi B quoted a video of the "You" lead character, Penn Badgley, talking about her relationship with social media.

Cardi's tweet read, "OOOOMMFFFGGGGGG HE KNOWS ME !!! OMMMGGGG!!!!!! Yoooo like I'm famous famous." Badgley replied, and the "Up" singer tweeted a suggestion of how she could appear on the show's next season.

She said, "So it's episode 1, and I'm at Paris Fashion week shutting it down! I turn around, and there stands YOU. Ok finish it off @netflix." The two stars changed their profile pictures to photos of each other and don't seem like they'll change it back anytime soon.

In an appearance on "The Jimmy Kimmel Show," the host asked Badgley if there was a possibility of Cardi showing up on the season four of "You." The actor revealed that he wasn't entirely certain of the possibility. He said, "I definitely can't say. I actually don't know."

'You' Series Is Different From The Novels

The "You" series was originally based on Caroline Kepnes' novels; however, it has notably moved away from the books' plot. The series' writers are obviously trying to split from the source by creating something entirely different.

The third book, "You Love Me" revealed that Goldberg fell in love with a librarian in the third season. However, the twist the movie writers added notably paid off well, according to the high ratings on Netflix.

Kepnes is working on the fourth book, and there's no doubt the series writers will put their own spin on it. The book will be released after the fourth season of the series due to how long writing and publishing a novel takes compared to making a series.
