Fans love “Let Me Ride,” which helped put Dr. Dre on the map.

“The Album that changed hip hop forever,” one fan commented.

“The Chronic is one of those albums that tells you about a specific time in history,” one fan wrote. “Literally. 1992...grunge had taken over. And West Coast rap didn't get the respect NY rap did still. Then this album dropped and it was a sea change.”

“The Chronic is every bit as important as Run DMC performing with Aerosmith,” they continued. “It put a stamp on this genre like, ‘better get used to us, because we're HERE now’. And these songs played ALL THE TIME. Pretty much every pop/top 40 station would have the edited versions of singles and then Snoop's stuff from Doggystyle. They changed the game.”
