Williams Needs Guardianship According To Bank

The new photo updates about Wendy's well-being come days after her bank Well Fargo declared her an "incapacitated person" and expressed concern over her health.

As The Blast previously reported, the financial institution wrote a letter requesting a hearing from a New York County judge to determine whether Williams needs someone to take care of her financial affairs legally. The letter read:

We are concerned about [Wendys’] situation, It is our hope that the Guardianship Part [of the courts] will immediately appoint a temporary guardian or evaluator to review the situation and ensure that [Wendys’] affairs are being properly handled.

Wendy has reportedly been battling serious health issues in the past, causing her to be absent from the show and be away from the public eye.

In the legal document, Wells Fargo also alleged that Wendy's former financial advisor Lori Schiller had observed "signs of exploitation" and "[Wendys'] own expressed apprehensions" about the people in her life.

Schiller, who had previously labeled the mother-of-one as having an "unsound mind," believes that "other independent third parties" who have a close relationship with Wendy have these fears.

In another letter, the bank revealed that they have "strong reason to believe" Wendy is a "victim of undue influence and financial exploitation," urging the court to take necessary action.

The Show Host's Lawyer Denies Allegation Of Exploitation

Wendy's legal team has now responded to the claims made by Wells Fargo. Alongside the photos showing Wendy looking better, her attorney LaShawn Thomas, Esq. released a statement to the publication, saying:

Wendy wants you to know she is fine; she is of sound mind and disappointed about falsely circulated statements from an industry she has devoted her life to.

The press release alleges that Wells Fargo refused to honor Wendy's Power of Attorney, her only son  Kevin Hunter Jr., which grants him the authority to make requests/inquiries to the bank on behalf of his mother.

Thomas assures the public that Wendy is in good health, revealing that she has "employed holistic health professionals to help her reach optimal health during her treatment of Graves' disease and thyroid concerns."

Since her absence from "The Wendy Williams Show," several guest stars have taken up the mantle, filling in for Wendy until her return. However, day by day, it becomes more uncertain if Wendy will ever return.

As we previously covered, the talk show's producers are looking to permanently replace Wendy with comedian Sherri Shepherd, one of the fans' favorite guest stars.

While the deal isn't complete yet, sources claim that the producing network is looking until September to give Wendy a chance to return. If her health doesn't significantly improve before then, the baton will be handed over to Shepherd, and the show's name might be completely changed.
