Actress Gina Carano is finally back in action!
“The Mandalorian” actress was unceremoniously fired from “Star Wars” due to controversial tweets that challenged the effectiveness of mask-wearing, vaccines, and the legitimacy of the 2020 Presidential election.
Although she was fired from Lucasfilm and dropped by her talent agency, the MMA-fighter-turned-actress was quickly scooped up by Ben Shapiro and his right-wing company, The Daily Wire. Carano’s first partnership with Ben Shapiro, titled “Terror on the Prairie,” finally released its first trailer.
What Is The ‘Terror On The Prairie’ About?
The minute-long trailer for the new film focuses on a family trying to survive against a gang of outlaws looking for revenge. The official synopsis of the film reads, “On the Montana plains, a frontier woman must protect herself against a ruthless gang of outlaws h—-bent on revenge.”
Carano is as battle-ready in the trailer as she was as Cara Dune in “The Mandalorian,” packing knives and wielding shotguns. At the beginning of the trailer, Carano can be heard saying, “I’m going to pack the wagon and take our children out of this God-forsaken place.”
The film has a summer 2022 release date and will only be available on The Daily Wire. To promote the new film, The Daily Wire is offering a membership discount code for fans looking to view the film. It will not be available to stream via traditional streaming services. It does not look like a theatrical release will be offered at this time.
Gina Carano Says The Daily Wire Is ‘Helping Make One Of My Dreams … Come True’
In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, the former “Star Wars” star sat down to talk about what it was like being back on the big screen.
“The Daily Wire is helping make one of my dreams — to develop and produce my own film — come true. I cried out and my prayer was answered. I am sending out a direct message of hope to everyone living in fear of cancellation by the totalitarian mob,” she said.
“I have only just begun using my voice which is now freer than ever before, and I hope it inspires others to do the same,” she added. “They can’t cancel us if we don’t let them.”
Shapiro’s co-founder, Jeremy Boreing, said that although they are a conservative company, not all of their films will be strictly conservative.
“When people hear that a conservative media company has entered the film business, they’ll often assume we’re making either hyper-politicized movies or milquetoast dramas, but we have no interest in producing Hillary’s Hard Drive Part III or Christmas Romance in the Rockies,” he said. “We’re making top-quality entertainment that all Americans can love.”
Although he claims that he doesn’t want to make the films political, one behind-the-scenes photo shows the cast and crew of the film gathered behind a banner that read “Let’s Go, Brandon,” which can be read as an insult against President Joe Biden.

The trailer got over 16,000 thumbs-up from fans that viewed the first teaser trailer.
