Joanna Gaines recently spoke candidly on how she could pull through some hard times in an article that would be published in the Spring issue of "Magnolia Journal."
"Magnolia Journal" is a trimestral lifestyle magazine that she co-owns with her husband, Chip Gaines. Joanna is also the editor-in-chief of the magazine, and it is published by Dotdash Meredith, the parent company of PEOPLE.
The 43-year-old went through quite an ordeal late last year, but with what she poured out in her write-up, she was able to find ways to take care of herself genuinely.
Joanna Gaines Finds Ways To Fulfill Herself During Trying Times
As reported by PEOPLE, Joanna felt she was unbalanced by the output she was giving out without being productive in the ways she needed, so she had to find a way to improve.
She wrote in the article, "I was learning that a well that's only never knee-deep can't outlast a drought and that I had to figure out what it was that would pull me out of the grind and give me renewed perspective."

The bestselling author eventually understood that she had to care for herself before others. With the realization came her dedication to things that were truly significant to her.
So, she focused more of her time on nature, gardening, being in the kitchen, and reading because of how much they meant to her.
"For weeks, I pored over books, threw my hands into the soil, and filled every surface of the house with jars for canning just about anything," she divulged.
Her family thought she was being excessive, but they couldn't relate to the fulfillment she felt at the end of the days she worked. Joanna had so much to give, and that was all that mattered.
It has been a busy year for the author and her husband. They launched a major enterprise, their new lifestyle channel, "Magnolia Network," that replaced "DIY Network" on January 5.
The Blast previously reported that the couple gained fame for their renovation series "The Fixer Upper," which began in 2012. However, they stopped the show after five flourishing years.
Following the launch of their new channel, the TV presenter told Lara Spencer, the host of "Good Morning America" that the channel would communicate stories of hope and inspiration which the world needed.
The channel included the Gaines couple's show "The Fixer Upper: Welcome Home" but with new modifications. All the same, fans were super excited to have them back on TV again.
The Founders Of "Magnolia" Are One Of The Wealthiest Couples In The World
Chip and Joanna became billionaires after the launch of "Magnolia Network," which spiked their net worth to more than eight figures.
In July 2021, The Blast shared a breakdown of how their billions came about. The couple's brand, Magnolia, a production company of home products, is worth $750 million on its own.
They have lines at Target and Anthropologie, which provided millions of dollars. "Magnolia Journal" and several other book deals by Joanna also contributed to the couple's wealth.
Other ventures like 'Magnolia Market,' a shopping center, 'Magnolia Table,' a restaurant, and a boutique in Texas are co-owned by the couple.
It is no news that Chip and Joanna's show "The Fixer Upper" took the media industry by storm, and with the publicity, they were able to promote their manufactured home goods via the show.
Even after the couple paused the show to focus on themselves, fans still bought their products, and their Magnolia empire continued to thrive.

The Blast reported in November 2021 that Joanna shared an adorable picture on Instagram of herself and Chip in honor of his 47th birthday last November.
Under the post, she added a sweet caption to express her love for her husband. The loving wife wrote, "You make life better for all of us. Happy birthday to the very best @chipgaines."
The couple never failed to showcase their swooning love for each other at every moment they get. And like almost every romance story, their fairytale romance began with love at first sight.
They both attended the same college, but they didn't know each other until Chip saw a picture of Joanna at her father's auto repair shop. He fell in love with her that instant.
They were later introduced to each other, and now the lovebirds are going 18 years strong, which they marked with a romantic day out.
