Anderson Cooper has expanded his lovely family with the addition of a baby boy. The famous journalist shocked fans during today's broadcast on CNN when he broke the news that he has welcomed a second son.
Anderson Cooper Is Proud Father Of Two Boys!
Cooper began the announcement by saying, "I wanted to start out with some good news, which also happens to be very personal news," before sweetly recalling the birth of his first son Wyatt amid the pandemic.
The CNN anchor showed fans the photos he took of Wyatt at the start of his life alongside new pictures of the toddler, who is now 22 months old. "This is Wyatt today. He is nearly 22 months old. He is sweet, funny, and the greatest joy of my life," Cooper gushed.
The political commentator then dropped the bomb, saying little Wyatt looked particularly happy in the recent photos because he is now a big brother! In Cooper's words:
If he looks particularly happy in this picture, it's because he now has a baby brother. His name is Sebastian, and I would like you to meet him.
Cooper then introduced his family's newest addition saying that baby Sebastian Luke Maisani-Cooper was born weighing 6.8 pounds and is a healthy, happy child. He shared that the infant sometimes has hiccups which he thinks are adorable, and then said, "He mostly just sleeps and eats and certainly poops, but he already seems like a wise and thoughtful little chap."
Cooper appreciated the medical staff that helped bring his baby boy into the world and gave a special shoutout to the surrogate for the sacrifices she and her family made for the sake of little Sebastian.

The 54-year-old gave more details about baby Sebastian's birth, revealing that he welcomed the little one with his "best friend and former partner," Benjamin Maisani. Cooper and Maisani, an NYC-based bar owner, dated from 2009 to 2018 before ending things.
However, they remained amicable and a strong part of each other's lives after ending their romantic relationship. Maisani co-parents Wyatt, which will also be the case with the newborn. However, much more than co-parenting the boy, the businessman will also officially adopt Wyatt.
"Wyatt calls me 'daddy' and Benjamin 'papa.' We're a family. Benjamin is also in the process of adopting Wyatt, who's last name will be changed to Maisani-Cooper as well," Cooper announced.
The "Anderson Cooper 360°" host announced that he would be taking some weeks off to be with his family and spend time with his two boys. He also opened up about the delivery, saying it was easier than his first experience with Wyatt. While speaking to co-anchor John Berman, he said,
I'm definitely calmer than I was the first time. He's doing great and he's just so adorable, he's got a lot more hair than Wyatt had when he was born, and he's just incredible.
Cooper concluded the announcement by saying "Wyatt is thrilled" about his little brother before urging fans to donate to local organizations in place of a gift.
