Smith may have dropped out of "Happier Than Ever, the World Tour," but her fans can expect more entertainment from her in the fiction sector.
In an Instagram post, the "Gajendra" singer broke the news of her first-ever novel co-written by Jess Hendel, titled "Black Shield Maiden."
Smith shared an image of the book's stylish front cover. The novel was published by Del Dey Rey Books and will be released on October 4. She wrote in her captions:

"That's why we create new narratives from different perspectives," she continued. "And even look back into history for deep wisdom that can inspire & help us evolve. My hope is that this story will do that for readers."
According to Smith's press release, "Black Shield Maiden" is Book 1 in a fantasy series that will be available in hardcover and digital copies. Penguin Random House Audio will also provide an audio edition.
