Rita Ora joins Disney+’s "Beauty and the Beast prequel" series!

The British pop star, 31, took to Instagram and shared the announcement. She added three photos that showed her sitting in front of the TV with the famous Disney+ logo and two pics from her childhood where she dressed up as Belle in school. The last snap featured a screengrab of a video call where Ora was talking with her management team.

"I can’t keep the secret any longer! I’m beyond excited to be joining the cast of the Beauty and the Beast prequel series!" Ora began.

"As a child, I remember watching Beauty and the Beast with my family over and over and immediately falling in love with the music and characters. Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined joining this fairytale world," she continued.

She concluded her message by thanking the people behind this great opportunity.

"To everyone that helped make this happen, I am forever grateful. Thank you to Disney+, my CAA squad - Dan, Joella, and Tracy - Shari, and my management family. Lately I just feel like all my dreams are coming true! Life is feeling like a Disney movie!"

Fans Show Some Love

Fans reacted to the news and plenty congratulated Ora for the opportunity.

"Oh my baby your dream came true," her mom, Vera Sahatçiu, commented, adding, "Gjyshi is looking down on you and feeling sooooo proud right now Rit 😇."

"AHHHH!!! Yes 😍😍❤️ so proud of you and so happy for you.❤️ can’t wait to see it!!!" wrote another follower.

"Congratulations queen! You deserve everything in this world," remarked the third admirer.

According to Deadline, Ora will play a fugitive with surprising abilities who carries with her a secret that could potentially affect an entire kingdom in the eight-episode limited musical series.

Ora has shown her skills in acting time and again. She previously starred in two "Fifty Shades" movies and the 2021 feature film "Twist" as the Artful Dodger.

In the upcoming series, Ora will be joining Luke Evans and Josh Gad, who are reprising their roles as Gaston and LeFou, along with Briana Middleton, Fra Fee, and Jelani Alladin.

Gad also commented on Ora's share, writing, "We are so beyond excited to have you. You are going to destroy this role."

As for Evans, he told the singer, "Welcome to the family my darling❤️"

More Changes In 2022

The Disney+ news came four days after she made an announcement on Instagram about signing a deal with a new label company.

"I’m THRILLED to announce that I am partnering with BMG!!! I couldn't be happier that they will be my label family moving forward," Ora wrote in a post on February 3.

"Their approach to artist ownership and control is very much aligned with mine, and it’s so empowering to know that I will own all my master recordings that I make from now on. I also feel so motivated to be working with such a dynamic, creative, forward-thinking global company," she continued.

Ora was under Atlantic Records, who handled artists like Ava Max, Bazzi, Cardi B, Birdy, Charli XCX, CARYS, and more.

She gave a shoutout to the company, writing, "I want to say a big THANK-YOU to the wonderful team at Atlantic Records, as I’m so proud of our incredible journey together and will never forget the day when we set the UK chart record for the most Top 10 singles by a British female artist."

Ora added, "I am extremely grateful to get to do what I love, for all the special people I’ve been fortunate enough to work with and for my fans who are EVERYTHING to me - I do this all for you! I am beyond excited about the new music I've been working on and can't wait to share it with you all. Here’s to a new chapter! See you all very soon!"

She first partnered with Atlantic Records in 2016 and was under Jay-Z's Roc Nation’s label in 2008 –- a recording contract that came to an end in May 2016 when the singer settled with the company following a mutual lawsuit.
