The UNHCR ambassador shared an excerpt from an emotional letter recently sent to her by a young Afghan girl alongside the names of missing women in the country.

Parts of the letter were blurred out to protect the writer's identity, but its contents were detailed in the post's caption, in which the actress highlighted the ongoing problem in Afghanistan.

The Golden Globe Award winner began her message by explaining that the letter sender had been unable to return to school since the Taliban took over the country as she feared for her safety.

According to the Afghan girl, women were abducted and arrested for simply participating in "peaceful protests." In the writer's words:

"I feel like women don't have any right to speak or put their word forward. The rights of the woman are taken away from them, and they are not allowed to do anything in the country."

The anonymous woman's letter to the actress stated that a few weeks ago, she felt like her world had come to an end following the arrest of two female freedom protesters.

This incident broke the lady's heart in more ways than one as she explained that being a girl under the Taliban's reign might mean she would never step foot outside or speak again.

The entertainer ended the caption by pleading with her followers to ensure that the Taliban's atrocities didn't fall on deaf ears. The humanitarian wrote:

"Please track what is happening in Afghanistan, where young women are being taken from their homes at night at gunpoint and disappeared, and new restrictions are being imposed on the freedom of women and girls day by day."

Some of these missing names highlighted in the icon's post include Alia Azizi, Parwana Ibrahimkhel, Mursal Ayar, Zahra Mohammadi, as well as Tamana Zaryab Paryani and her three sisters.

In honor of these abducted female activists, Jolie concluded her touching post with heartfelt words that read, "please help ensure they're not forgotten."

The "Eternals" Star's Charitable Nature Helped Build Her Family

Last October, The Blast reported that the Marvel star opened up about her life as a mother to six beautiful children, three of whom she adopted from different countries.

When the filmmaker started her charitable projects, she fell in love with Cambodia and adopted her oldest child and son Maddox in 2002.

In 2005, the "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" actress adopted her daughter Zahara from Ethiopia, and two years later, she added a second son to the family, Pax from Vietnam.

Although having three children from different ethnicities alongside her three biological children with then-husband Brad Pitt may seem like a lot to handle, the mother-of-six couldn't be happier about her blended family.

In a previous interview, the humanitarian admitted that her kids made parenting easy by being "great people" who positively impacted each other.

The entertainer stated that she raised her children with kindness, support, and understanding rather than controlling or changing their personalities.
