Many are still mourning the loss of the late Cheslie Kryst, who was lost too soon.

An “Extra” correspondent and a former Miss USA, Kryst was only 30 years old when she took her own life. Her body was found outside the 60-story Orion Condominium building where she lived in New York City. It was believed that she had decided to take her own life and leaped from an upper floor of the building.

On Wednesday morning, the results of her autopsy were made public.

As The Blast previously reported, her grandfather, Gary Simpkins, told the New York Daily News that Kryst was "a light that shined so brightly."

"To be extinguished so fast is just devastating," he said. Kryst had been born in Michigan but was raised in Rock Hill, South Carolina. She later moved to New York City.

"So hard to imagine one minute they’re here and one minute they’re not," he went on. "And you know that the only [way] you’ll ever see them again is when you yourself pass away."

"She was a fantastic person," he continued. "She was kind. She was generous. She felt for other people. She tried to help other people. She was just one of those rare people that had a heart for people."
