A$AP Rocky's Thoughts On Fatherhood – 'I Would Have A Very Fly Child'

Fans of ASAP Rocky and Rihanna can't keep calm over the recent revelation by the duo that confirmed they had decided to start a family. The pair released a series of photographs showing Rihanna's plump baby bump in an oversized pink jacket and low-slung jeans.

Although it was only a matter of time before the lovebirds had their first child, it seems the rapper had been planning for this moment a long time ago. In last year's interview with GQ Magazine, Rocky had revealed his deep longing to have a first child saying, "I would have a very fly child."

In his interview with the fashion magazine, Rocky discussed various topics ranging from his career to his love life. At the time, Rocky had been dating the Barbadian singer, and their relationship was the envy of many.

When GQ narrowed down the conversation to quiz the rapper about fatherhood, Rocky's response would have gladdened the heart of fans and shippers of his relationship with Rihanna.

"I think I'm already a dad! All these [expletive] are already my sons—whatchu talkin' 'bout!" Rocky joked before speaking in a more serious tone. "Nah, but like, I think I'd be an incredible, remarkably, overall amazing dad. I would have a very fly child. Very," he added.

Rocky did not confirm if Rihanna would be the lady to bear the child. However, it was safe to assume she was the only option for the rapper.

Since they began their relationship, Rocky and Rihanna have shown fans that they deeply loved each other. As such, it was unsurprising to see the "Goldie" crooner admit his love for his friend turned lover in the same interview.

Rocky further compared his current relationship with previous flings from his past, placing Rihanna above the other women and calling her "the one."

"So much better when you got the One. She amounts to probably, like, a million of the other ones. I think when you know, you know. She's the One," the rapper referenced the award-winning singer and billionaire business mogul.

Many around the world spent most of the lockdown mainly catching up on family life within the comfort of their homes. However, Rocky and Rihanna took a different route by taking some time out to go on a road trip.

Rocky disclosed that he and his lover toured the country, from LA to New York City, visiting landmarks and enjoying the country's sunshine and air. He further revealed that he learned many life lessons during the journey, given that he had loads of free time to reflect on his life.

"I met myself," he told GQ of his cross-country trip with Rihanna.

"Being able to drive and do a tour without feeling like it was an occupation or an obligated job agreement, I feel like that experience is like none other. I never experienced anything like it," he recalled.

Rocky and Rihanna's relationship continues to grow by the day. With the pair now planning on welcoming a baby soon, the couple's bond is sure to tighten in the months to come. Fans are also ecstatic at the pregnancy announcement, and of course, they gushed about the news on social media.
