Simon Cowell has had another spill from his electric bike, and this time, as media reports, he is lucky to be alive.

Cowell has broken his arm this time and was spotted with a yellow cast, looking absolutely fine. This is not the first time he has taken a spill from his e-bike because he did so in August 2020 as well, breaking his back, back then.

It seems he has fewer injuries this time, even though he took a spill on a busy road and had to be helped up by passers-by. Thankfully, none of them were Zayn Malik, or else Cowell might have ended up with more injuries? And not just to his pride.

The Sun broke the story and reported that sources said, Cowell was lucky to be alive. The 62-year-old was riding his electric bike on the road, at about 20mph speed, when "the wheels suddenly went from under him after hitting a wet patch." The TV mogul reportedly went flying over the handlebars, straight onto the road and was not even wearing a helmet.

Another source compared his bloody look to the "Phantom of the Opera" and felt the kindness of the passers-by is what saved Cqwell as people stopped the traffic around him. Cowell was helped by passers-by before someone called emergency services and the paramedic the now blood-soaked dad-of-one to the hospital, of a suspected concussion and a broken arm.

The "Britain's Got Talent" star's latest crash comes after 18 months of his first one, on the same electric bike, where he had broken his back.

Cowell was later photographed wearing a yellow cast on his arm, some abrasions on his cheek, and a goofy grin on his face.

In August 2020, Cowell fell off his electric bike and ended with severe injuries. He took to Instagram to post. "Some good advice... If you buy an electric trail bike, read the manual before you ride it for the first time. I have broken part of my back. Thank you to everyone for your kind messages. And a massive thank you to all the nurses and doctors. Some of the nicest people I have ever met. Stay safe everyone."

At the time, he underwent surgery to fix his back. Clearly, the soon-to-be-married Cowell has not learned his lessons, as he went riding minus a helmet, again.

He got trolled the last time with Instagram comments like "lol if I were you the bike isn’t the only thing I would watch my back for."

And the trolls are back for round two as well, with one comment reading, "You fell off again!!! And not wearing a helmet, is a really great example for your son. And you want to sue the bike company! Seriously, you fell off the bike, the bike didn’t make you fall off!"

Counting His Bachelorhood Days

Simon Cowell is engaged

In January, Cowell finally went off the bachelor mart as he got engaged, to his longtime love, socialite Lauren Silverman. The couple has been dating since 2004 and has a 7-year-old son, Eric, born in February 2014. They got engaged on Christmas Eve in Barbados, all the more special because this is where they had originally met. The proposal happened during a family vacation with Eric and Silverman's elder son, Adam also present.

Sources say the couple is very happy with their decision. And Cowell is clearly head over heels for Silverman, and he made his love public for her when he presented with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Said Cowell, "Lauren, you've been my rock for the past few years, put up with everything I put up..."

Now if only Cowell's fans, trolls, and innumerable haters would put up with a little more.

With a wedding sometime in the near future, Silverman may be changing her mind about the electric bike and Cowell's propensity of forgetting helmets. In his case, perhaps body armor might be a safer bet. Plus the helmet may also protect him from the bouquets and brickbats he receives on social media. Certainly, his legendary thick skin cannot protect his bones from the sticks and stones, on the asphalt. Right?
