One question fans of the series are asking is if Grace Shelby will be present in the newest season. Although she died seasons earlier, the former police agent had a rather prominent role until the fifth season. However, the newly released trailer didn't show Grace at all.

Grace Died After Intercepting A Bullet Meant For Thomas

In season three of "Peaky Blinders," Grace's death shocked many fans. Grace and Thomas's relationship improved this season with her marrying him and having a child. She previously intended on leaving the Shelby family for a better life but changed her mind.

Visions of a happy home were sadly disrupted when Grace was tragically killed after she got hit with a bullet meant for Thomas. He was understandably devastated by her death and even tried to communicate with her ghost.

Season five ended with the criminal gang leader putting a gun to his temple in frustration after talking to his wife's ghost. This desperate move happened after he failed to assassinate Oswald Mosley, leading to a rather vulnerable mental state.

Grace Was Not In The Trailer Of 'Peaky Blinders' Season Six

Grace is undoubtedly dead, but she showed up from time to time since season three. In the released trailer of season six, the former police agent didn't appear at all, indicating that we saw the last of her in season five.

Other than the noticeable lack of Grace, the trailer showed Thomas moving on from her. It opened up with him shooting a machine gun in the air. This is reportedly right after his gun scene in the field in the season five finale.

This season also marks the final season of the series, so there'll likely be a notable shift in Thomas. It could be finally laying Grace's memory to rest and focusing on his new family. His big move could also be giving up on the life of crime after seeing just how much damage he has done to others. Fan theories even speculate that Thomas would lay down his life for Ada Shelby.

In an interview with Digital Spay, Annabelle Wallis, who played Grace, spoke about the show's final season. She said, "I have a few loyal friends in that 'Peaky Blinders' gang that if I said anything, I think I would be in a lot of trouble. There's a feature. They're working on a feature, and there's a lot of surprising things in the world of 'Peaky Blinders.'"

Fans Might See More Supernatural Happenings In Season Six

At some point in season five, Thomas was able to connect with the spirit of his dead wife. "Peaky Blinders" show creator revealed that fans should expect more supernatural happenings like that in the newest season.

Via Metro, Knight said, "I like the supernatural element. 'Is Tommy cursed?' In other words, is everything predestined, are lives already mapped out? Do you have free will or not? Tommy sometimes feels that he doesn't because it seems that everything is destined to stop him or move him in a particular direction."

He added, "It's the same with the whole family. I explore that more in the next series." It isn't clear whether this involves just Grace or a family curse. Fans will just have to wait for season six to start airing and clear things up.

'Peaky Blinders' Possible Release Date In February

According to the "Peaky Blinders" season six trailer, fans should expect the final season in early 2022, but there's no exact date. Arthur Shelby's actor, Paul Anderson, might have just helped fans with that via his recent Instagram post.

The actor posted a throwback on January 24, showing himself and Thomas Shelby actor Cillian Murphy aiming prop guns at the camera. The Instagram post was captioned, "This is the first-ever image of Tommy and Arthur. We picked these guns up for the first time 10 years ago, and next month we put them down for the last time! Coming soon … PEAKY BLINDERS SEASON 6. Thank you to our amazing fans for waiting and for the incredible love over the last decade."

Note the "next month" Anderson slipped into the post. This could mean that season six is expected to air on the BBC network in February and probably take some extra months to reach Netflix.
