Day ‘N’ Nite
No list of top Kid Cudi songs would be complete with the song that put him on the map: “Day ‘n’ Night.” Many fans noticed that the song was playing in the trailer for the new Marvel hit series “Moon Knight,” featuring Oscar Isaac.
“The beauty behind the reasoning for using this song in the Moon Knight trailer,” one fan wrote. “Moon Knight not knowing what is real or fake. Feeling like every day is a dream yet every night is a nightmare. In the music video, Kid Cudi was seeing things in a different way then how we see it. Similar to Marc Spector not knowing the difference between reality or his mind playing tricks on him.”
“’He’s all alone through the day and night’ the Lonely nature that Marc feels, feeling like no matter who he asks to help him, he will still feel alone and abandoned, leaving him with the scariest thing he can be with. The thoughts in his mind. I love this song. Moon Knight is my favorite Marvel Character. I’m so hyped for March 30th.”
“This song is the best personification of Mark Spectors’s condition from Moon Knight,” another fan wrote. “Really proud of Marvel production team to bring out this old masterpiece into some deserved spotlight.”
‘Pursuit Of Happiness’ Featuring MGMT
Much of Kid Cudi’s music speaks about his childhood struggles with loneliness and depression. He also has been candid about his struggles with addiction and mental health. The song “Pursuit of Happiness” channels both of those elements and fans love the inspirational hit.
“Cudi was a inspiration to us who we’re lonely, depressed and sad,” one fan wrote. “His struggles with drug addiction, mental health and depression made us believe in one another through the beautiful art of music. Thank you Scott, for inspiring the next generation. We’re all chasing the pursuit of happiness.”
“Played this song at the end of my wedding ceremony, not the reception, the actual ceremony,” another fan said. “I love this song so much I wanted everyone in my life to be a part of it during a very fitting moment. This one will be close to my heart forever.”
“This song is a very rare thing,” another fan commented. “Kid Cudi is vastly underrated.”
