Tom Brady Might NOT Be Retiring?! Here's What Is Going On...

Tom Brady might NOT be retiring, according to his agent, this after the biggest sports news agencies in the world reported he is done with football.

That's right...Tom Brady's agent isn't confirming reports by ESPN and others that the greatest quarterback in history is actually not playing next year.

Here's what's going down.

Several hours ago, a report was published claiming that Tom Brady is retiring from the NFL after 22 years in the league. Now, it should be noted, the outlets and sportswriters who posted the story and tweeted about it are the best in the business. But, it appears they didn't get any official statement from the man himself. Following the announcement, Brady's ex-teammates like Julian Edelman, congratulated the QB saying, "Thanks for the memories, babe."

BUT, Brady's longtime agent -- Don Yee -- just issued a statement saying Tom has NOT officially retired from the NFL.

Here is the statement:

"I understand the advance speculation about Tom's future. Without getting into the accuracy or inaccuracy of what's being reported, Tom will be the only person to express his plans with complete accuracy. He knows the realities of the football business and planning calendar as well as anybody, so that should be soon."

Now, on one hand, the "complete accuracy" of the statement makes it appear that it might be inaccurate to say Tom is retiring from football from this season. But, the last part of that statement makes it appear that Brady might just be pissed that the news leaked out before he could officially make a statement and speak to his teammates and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers front office.

Now, here's the CRAZY part! Tom Brady reportedly called up the Buccaneers General Manager -- Jason Licht -- after the story of his retirement broke, telling him he has NOT made the decision yet to retire from football. OMG!

As you can imagine, social media is going nuts over the back and forth, with many fans begging the GOAT to give it one more year!

"I’m convinced Tom Brady told his team to leak that he retired so he can get farewell attention the next two weeks then he’s gonna announce he’s gonna come back for a 'last dance' and win another ring," one person wrote.

Another added, "I’ve been depressed for nearly 20 years but one man saved my life and his name was Tom Brady. I worshipped him, I prayed for his success, I betted on him, I lost money, I won money, I cried, I laughed, but this day has got to be the worst day of my life. Please come back, king!"

Many fans of the TB Bucs will agree with this one, "Tom made a commitment. He is big on that type of stuff! He has one more year on his contract! Let's go out and win that Superbowl and allow all the players and teams to give him the farewell he deserves! Plain and simple."
