On Monday’s episode of his “Let’s Go! with Tom Brady, Larry Fitzgerald and Jim Gray” podcast, Tom Brady opened up about the future of his career.

According to the NFL star, he’s in “no rush to figure out what’s next.”

He added, “I'll know when I know. It's a day after the season. So I think for all of us, you know, we can all decompress a bit. It's been six straight months of football, every day consumed by day in and day out football.”

For now, Brady said he’ll “spend some time with my family and spend some time with my kids.”

On being an athlete, Brady said, “I'm really ultimate. you know, my enjoyment comes from not a recognition of what I've accomplished as a player in the league.”

He noted, “My enjoyment comes from the competition more so than anything.”

Brady also said he’ll give way to other players to do the job if he “can’t play the championship level.”

He added, “there's a long time between now and the start of next football season. And, you know, I got to really figure those things out, which is probably natural for anyone."

Despite losing last Sunday, Brady still felt grateful for the opportunity, saying, “I was glad I played in it, and I participated, you know because I'm living my life.”
