Josh Duggar's Brother Gives Health Update After Plane Crash, 'So Thankful For God's Protection'

It seems that there is no quiet day for the Duggar Family as John David Duggar narrowly escaped tragic death.

The younger brother of the infamous Josh Duggar was piloting a plane with his wife Abbie and their daughter Grace on board when complications arose.

Thankfully, no lives were lost in the accident, and the lucky pilot expressed his gratitude to God for protecting them.

John and his wife of over four years spoke to Celebuzz about the terrifying plane crash that left them and their 12-month-old daughter unscathed.

John recalled the incident last October and spoke about how he expects the unexpected as a pilot. He explained:

“An emergency landing or any kind of plane crash is a scary thing, but it’s exactly what pilots are trained for. We are so thankful for God’s protection, as we all walked away without injuries."

The pilot and his wife showed appreciation for the love that well-wishers sent their way after hearing about the incident.

A source told the outlet that John acquired the plane in July 2020. The cause of the crash was speculated to be a faulty fuel gauge.

The Blast provided an update on the situation which showed that the flight occurred on October 29, 2021, when John had to make an emergency landing in a field in Waverly.

The situation occurred due to double engine failures. In Touch Weekly retrieved a report of the accident which showed that the Piper PA-30 faced “substantial” damage. Thankfully, none of the passengers were injured.

An investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board is ongoing, and the only confirmation from the Humphrey County Sheriff’s Office is that a family was involved in the plane crash.

As proven by the successful landing, John is no stranger to the wheel. He also lends his services to MEDIC Corps, a nonprofit organization.

MEDIC Corps delivers relief supplies and staff to areas affected by natural disasters using small planes and helicopters.

Asides from work, John enjoys flying with his family. He and his wife even welcomed their daughter on their joint Instagram page with a photo of them on a plane.

The two were all smiles while wearing audio gear and holding the edges of an adorable onesie with a plane drawing and a text that read "Baby Passenger On Board."

While John and his family emerged unscathed in their plane debacle, things are not looking up for his brother Josh.

The Blast disclosed that the "19 and Counting" alum has been found guilty on two charges of possessing and receiving child sexual abuse content.

Josh faces up to two decades of imprisonment on both counts of receiving and possessing child pornography, according to TMZ. 

This child porn involves minors of 12 years and younger. During the court case, his wife Anna remained by his side while heavily pregnant. 

Perhaps Anna fruitlessly hoped to use her pregnancy at the time to garner a pity party that may overlook some of her husband's foul crimes. 

Prosecutors argue that John knew the severity of his actions and went above and beyond to hide his secret pleasures using work devices.

In 2019, DHS agents raided Josh's Arkansas car dealership and seized his iPhone and Macbook after finding alarming child porn content.

A two-week trial followed where witnesses, including a family friend, confessed that the TV personality told them he had been molesting children. Despite this, Josh's parents fully support him.

The Duggar men have been gracing headlines lately, but so did Jana Duggar when a local police officer accused her of child endangerment on September 9.

Josh's sisters were also not safe from his criminal amd carnal desires for minors, leading the "19 and Counting" show to go on hiatus and eventually get canceled.

Bobye claimed that Josh's family pretended that Anna, who he met in 2008, was his first love, but he courted her first daughter when they were teenagers.

The couple was set to get married until Josh confessed to being guilty of molesting his siblings on several occasions.
