Paris Hilton Gives Update On Lindsay Lohan Relationship

Paris Hilton is letting bygones be bygones.

The newly married star recently opened up about her relationship with former friend, Lindsay Lohan.

Paris, Lindsay and Britney Spears appeared to be the tightest of friends in the early 2000s, but that was far from the truth.

They were referred to as the “Holy Trinity.”

Who could forget that iconic photo of the three of them in an SUV driving off from the club in 2006?

Funny enough, Paris previously spoke about that photo calling it “awkward.”

During a March 2021 episode of her podcast, “This Is Paris,” she explained what was going on behind the scenes when the paparazzi snapped the infamous photo.

"That was a night that Britney and I went out, and we were at the Beverly Hills Hotel, at our friend's party, and we decided to leave to go home," Paris explained of the photo on her podcast. "We were walking to the car and all the sudden got swarmed by tons of paparazzi. Just as we were walking to the car, that's when Lindsay came up. It was kind of awkward because we were having some drama."

That drama stemmed from Lohan claiming Paris hit her.

The two had been “close friends” prior to that photo, but then things got complicated.

Paris explained her side of the story saying, "She did some things to really hurt me and betrayed my trust, and caused a lot of drama. So, we weren't friends anymore, and it was kind of like this on and off friendship."

However, she admitted they were “young and immature.”

“It was like high school drama, especially in the L.A. scene, and to live it out in public with the media constantly trying to stir things up and make things worse than they were. Back then, the media really enjoyed having girls feud with each other," Paris said.

Now, Paris is opening up about the current state of her relationship with Lohan.

During her appearance on “Watch What Happens Live” on Wednesday, January 26, show host Andy Cohen said, “I hear that the two of you are like in contact and buddies again. Is that true?”

Paris responded, “I just feel we are grown-ups now. I just got married. She just got engaged.”

Paris echoed the same sentiment about their maturity levels now.

“We’re not like in high school, like, I think it was just very immature and now everything’s all good,” she admitted.

Paris explained that she saw Lohan got engaged while she was on her honeymoon and she reached out to say congratulations.

The “Simple Life” alum added, “No bad vibes.”

In fact, Paris celebrated Lilo’s engagement by recreating the “Holy Trinity” photo.

The Blast reported on Lilo’s engagement back in November.

Three days after Thanksgiving, Lohan revealed that she had a lot to be thankful for when she posted a series of snaps of her wearing an enormous engagement ring on her Instagram page.

She gushed, “My love. My life. My family. My future. @bader.shammas #love” next to the emoji of a ring.

Lohan, who has been dating Bader S Shammas for about two years, looked very much in love in the series of snaps.

Courney Semel commented on the post with several heart emojis, adding, “the best!!”

“Yay!! I was wondering when everyone was going to hear the news! I’m so happy for you both,” reality TV star Juliet Angus wrote before adding, “The best parts of life start now. Love you xx.”

Lohan’s brother, Dakota, wrote “my best friends!!!” alongside a series of heart-eye emojis.

The pair have kept their relationship under wraps. Lohan referred to Shammas as her “boyfriend” in an Instagram post last year, but it was quickly deleted.

Shammas is the assistant Vice President of a global investments bank called Credit Suisse. Lohan has lived in Dubai since 2014, where Bader also reportedly lives.

Lohan has been previously engaged once before. She was engaged to Russian businessman Egor Tarabasov in 2016. However, the pair went their separate ways after Lohan claimed that he assaulted her on a beach.

It’s great to see Paris letting go of the past and moving forward with her relationships with Britney and Lindsay.
