Dolly is making it easier than ever for fans to enjoy a sweet treat from the comfort of their own kitchen. Some of the cake mixes and frostings for sale are inspired by some of Dolly’s own family recipes, including Coconut Cake and Banana Puddin’ Cake.
In a press release, Dolly said, “I have always loved to cook and, growing up in the South, I especially love that authentic Mom and Pop kind of cooking.”
“Baking was no different,” she continued. “I had plenty of people to show me what's what in the kitchen... my Mama, my grandmothers, and my aunts were all wonderful bakers.”
“They taught me everything I know, from biscuits and gravy to chocolate cake,” she went on. “Now I am proud to share some of those favorites with all of you.”
“I am excited to launch my own line of cake mixes and frostings with Duncan Hines, bringing that sweet, Southern-style baking experience I enjoy to others,” she added.

Dolly Parton Dishes On Her Relationship With Husband Carl Dean
In a recent interview with Access Hollywood promoting her new baking line, Dolly also answered questions about her relationship with Carl Dean. The pair got married in 1966 and they’ve been going strong ever since!
“Well, we met 57 years ago, fell in love… or it was really a strong bond, and we’re still together,” she said. “But we have a similar sense of humor. We’re both funny. Our sense of humor is very different but we’re very entertaining, let’s put it that way, and we’re both able to find the humor in anything or make some humor for whatever it is.”
“We’re good friends,” she continued. “We respect each other. We like each other. And I’m a Capricorn and he’s a Cancer and those are supposed to be [compatible] if you follow that kind of stuff.”
“I stay gone a lot, so we’re not in each other’s face all the time,” she went on. “I think that’s probably helped a lot, but more than anything, we’re just good friends and we’re likable people and we like each other.”
