For some “Jeopardy!” fans, there will be no better host than late host Alex Trebek.
Although fans have been satisfied with “Jeopardy!” G.O.A.T. tournament winner Ken Jennings and former “The Big Bang Theory” star Mayim Bialik taking turns hosting, fans can’t help but miss the stability that the late Trebek seemed to provide.
Unfortunately, Trebek, 80, passed away on November 8, 2020, after losing his fight with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. His wife, Jean Trebek, is now finally ready to part ways with the home where she and Alex spent so much of their lives.
‘Jeopardy!’ Fans Take Notice: Alex Trebek’s House Is Up For Sale!
When Alex and Jean first got married in 1991, they bought the mansion for a cool $2.15 million dollars. It was there in Studio City that the couple raised three children in the 5-bedroom, 11-bathroom household.
The listing was posted by Alex Trebek’s daughter, Emily Trebek, who is a real estate agent through Compass.
According to the listing, the home is “an extraordinary opportunity to create your dream home in one of the most idyllic settings in Studio City. First time on the market in over 25 years!”
“Situated in the highly coveted Fryman Estates area, this 1923 Mediterranean style home is a must-see with close to 10,000SF of living space on just under 1.5 acres,” the ad continued. “The main house includes 4 generously-sized bedrooms, 9 bathrooms, 4 fireplaces, butlers pantry, formal and informal dining rooms, a theater and a bar perfect for entertaining.”
“On the property is also a detached guest house (1 bed/1.5 bath),” it adds. “Expansive grounds include a pool, lush greenery and mature oak trees. Steps away from Wilacre Park, this property is truly one-of-a-kind.”
The 9,993 square foot mansion will only set fans back $6,995,000 dollars if they’re interested!

Trebek's house boasts an impressive, manicured lawn in front of the Studio City mansion that boasts a classic Mediterranean design.
The entranceway to the Trebek home has a classic elegant flair, with two staircases on either side of the main foyer.
The Trebek home treats its guests to lots of natural sunlight, with beautiful terrace arches lining the domed ceiling.
It looks like the dining room has not one but two sets of small tables. Many fans absolutely adore the red and beige color scheme!
Take a look at that kitchen! The kitchen has more of a rustic vibe with wooden floors and wooden cabinets that stand in stark contrast to the classic elegant touches in the dining room.
Although we can bet that the late Trebek entertained many visitors in the dining room, he probably enjoyed a casual dinner with his family at the rustic dining room table set just outside the kitchen. A small television screen sits on a stand on the right side of the room. A couch lays in a small sitting room behind it, along with what looks to be a sewing machine on one of the desks. A craft room, perhaps?
Take a look at that bedroom! The bedroom seeks fit for a king... or at least one of the most famous game show hosts of all time! There's a small desk in the corner of the room. Perhaps this is where Trebek answered his fan mail?
That is one impressive mirror! Although the bathroom is extremely narrow, it's almost hard to believe that that long countertop contains only one sink!
This bathroom features lots of mirrors and white cabinets for a more modern feel. It stands in contrast to the armchair and the tub in the corner that gives the house a more antique feel. And take a look at those floor tiles!
Speaking of modern, just take a look at that in-home theater! The red plush carpet provides the ultimate at-home movie viewing experience! Those plush chairs look pretty comfy as well!
It was no secret that the late Trebek loved to read, and take a look at all of those books! Let's just hope that his kids weren't trying to watch movies while he was trying to get some studying done!
One of the home's many attractive features is its impressive bar! It looks like something out of a movie set!
Who could say no to an elegant brunch or a cool iced tea on the patio while watching the kids splash around in the pool?
The Trebek property boasts an impressive pool, complete with a slide. It's surrounded by foliage to ensure plenty of privacy!
Another shot of the pool to help residents escape that California sun!
