The TV series told the story of a young, intelligent, and ruthless man, James St. Patrick, played by Omar Hardwick, who was called 'Ghost.' He wanted to leave the criminal world to pursue legitimate businesses as a club owner.

Having these intentions, he was also running from the police and sorting his crumbling marriage. "Power Book II: Ghost" is a sequel and spin-off to "Power" and is currently in its second season. However, Laz Alonzo is no longer showing; why?

Laz Alonso's Exit From 'Power Book II: Ghost'

Alonso, who played a recurring role (Samuel Santana) in season one of the sequel, was not appearing in the following season, and people were concerned about it. Kemp, one of the co-producers, addressed it on her Instagram Live.

She hosted a Question & Answer session with her fans on her Instagram Live when the question was thrown to her. She was asked about Alonso's character, who investigated the death of a GTG member in the previous season.

Kemp answered and said she hoped to get Alonso back on set for season two of "Power Book: Ghost" as he got off because of his tight schedules. Alonso is also filming "The Boys," an American TV superhero series.

The series was developed and co-produced by Eric Kripke, an American writer and TV producer. It stars Karl Urban, Anthony Starr, Chace Crawford, Jessie T. Usher, Tomer Capon, and many others.

Currently, there is no certainty that Alonso will resurface as Detective Santana. Still, Kemp is keen on the fact that if a character wasn't dead in previous seasons, there are chances for the character to resurface in subsequent episodes.
