A few days before the news of their split broke up, the "Tron: Legacy" actor, 37, finally took the step of joining Instagram after staying away from social media. In his first post, the actor seemingly took the opportunity to share his "first single as a solo artist."
He shared a black-and-white picture of himself that showed him sitting on a chair and holding his guitar.
"Guess who finally joined Instagram š" Hedlund wrote in the caption.
"Been cookinā somethinā up in the studio for the past couple of months, and now I finally get to share it with the world: my first single as a solo artist, āThe Road,ā comes out this Friday, 01/21!" he continued, adding, "Got a lot more stuff coming out soon, and I canāt wait to share it all with you. Until then, help me out and show āThe Roadā some love by presaving it!"

Not Following Roberts
Hedlund is only following five personalities on the social media site, and his baby mama is not one of them. Among the verified pages belonged to singers Caitlin Rose, Hayes Carll, Brad Paisley, Tim McGraw, and Dierks Bentley.
According to reports, Hedlund and the "Scream Queens" actress, 30, have split a few weeks ago after not seeing things eye to eye for several months.
"It's sad, and they are trying their best to co-parent. It's been hard," a source said.
Both Roberts and Hedlund have not issued a statement yet.

Late last month, the pair celebrated their son Rhodes Robert Hedlund's first birthday. They had a rodeo-themed party with the trio even sporting matching checkered tops, as seen on a picture shared on Roberts' account.
"Happy Birthday Rodeo! Frosting in my hair and @thebeatbuds stuck in my head," she wrote in the caption. "Loved every second of it ā¤ļø I love you Rhodes ā¤ļø"
In the pic, Hedlund was seen standing behind Roberts with his back to the camera. The latter's last tribute to the "Country Strong" actor was on February 14 when she shared their photo along with a caption:

Apart from the share, the "American Horror Story" actress' long-time boyfriend has been missing from her feed for months.
In November, Roberts attended Paris Hilton's wedding solo. While there, she was seen holding hands with another man -- none other than Britney Spears' longtime supervisor Cade Hudson, 34. However, the two are not dating. Roberts and Hudson are allegedly best friends and have been for many years.
Roberts and Hedlund first started their relationship in early 2019, shortly after the actress ended her engagement to her on-again, off-again fiancƩ, Evan Peters.
The duo welcomed their baby in December 2020 and then shared the baby's first photo and his name on January 13.

"Thank you 2020 for getting one thing right," Roberts wrote at the time. "Our bright light Rhodes Robert Hedlund."
