'Baywatch' Star Pamela Anderson Files For Divorce After Marriage 'Petered Out'

Pamela Anderson has filed for divorce from her husband, Dan Hayhurst, after only one year of marriage.

According to multiple reports, the 'Baywatch' star filed the legal documents in her home country of Canada, marking the end of her fifth marriage. As we reported, Anderson married her "bodyguard" Hayhurst at her Vancouver Island home, on Christmas Eve of 2020.

As for what happened in the relationship...according to Rolling Stone, "Pamela loves as authentically as she lives," and says the brief marriage was a "pandemic whirlwind" that simply "petered out."

Unfortunately, it wasn't an easy road for the newlyweds after his ex-wife decided to speak out about Anderson breaking up their family.

“I decided to speak out because I want people to know that my almost five-year relationship, with three children involved, ended because of the affair Pam and Dan started while he was still with me,” Carey Hayhurst began.

She continued, "It’s sad that people celebrate this and cheer them on when it started with deceit, denials, and life-shattering choices for all the people involved."

Hayhurst's ex-wife claims she was living with his family and bringing up his two children for the past five years, and claims she was totally blindsided by the "affair" and knew nothing of the Anderson relationship until reading it online.

"This is not the lockdown love story which is being portrayed, it’s all a facade," she told The Sun. The couple was reportedly getting close while Dan and his ex were still living together -- before finally moving into Pam's house in July.

"It wasn’t this romance that happened overnight. He worked with her for over six months before any of that happened. He wasn’t her bodyguard then, he is a handyman, she hired him to work on her house. We were all totally blindsided by this, it’s been so hard for us. And it’s not just me and the kids, lots of people have been hurt by them. Dan has lost friendships and business relationships because of this," she said.

According to reports, Dan started working for Anderson as a building contractor to renovate her home. After working for a bit, he allegedly complained about how "crazy" Pamela was and how difficult it was to work on the project.

As we reported, Pamela "married" movie producer Jon Peters in January of 2020, and split with him two weeks later -- claiming the original wedding wasn't "real" in the first place.

Dan's ex-wife admitted the COVID-19 outbreak turned the working relationship into a romantic one.

"Dan would stay at her house and not come home, and here I am taking care of the kids. At first, he denied it when I confronted him but then, finally, I asked him, ‘Are you sleeping with Pam? He said, ‘All I’m going to say is I’ve crossed the line," she said.

Adding, "At first, he said, ‘I want you to stay in our house. I don’t want you to go. I just need to figure things out."

It's unclear exactly why Anderson filed for divorce, but we are guessing they have an ironclad prenuptial agreement, and it should be an easy split.
