A housekeeping manager working inside a Florida hotel desperately performed CPR on Bob Saget, after finding him unconscious inside of his room.
According to new reports, the ‘Full House’ star checked into the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Orlando, Florida staying for a couple of days. On Sunday, the comedian arranged for a late checkout, but never exited the room. An hour after the arranged time, housekeeping staff entered the room and found him unresponsive in his bed.
At this point, a “housekeeping manager” tried performing CPR on the comedian after calling 911. Paramedics rushed to the scene but pronounced him dead once they arrived. Orange County Sheriff’s Department conducted an initial investigation into the death, including transferring his body to the Medical Examiner’s Office after several hours. Authorities released a statement following the death, saying there were no signs of foul play…or drug use.
Hotel Staff Attempted To Save Bob Saget’s Life
It’s unclear how long the legendary comedian was gone before housekeeping arrived.
During the investigation, it was noted that Saget’s bags were packed by the door, indicating he was preparing to leave the hotel.
“Earlier today, deputies were called to the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes for a call about an unresponsive man in a hotel room. The man was identified as Robert Saget & pronounced deceased on scene. Detectives found no signs of foul play or drug use in this case,” a spokesperson said.
As we reported, an autopsy is currently underway on Saget’s body to determine his official cause of death. A toxicology report will be done to identify if any substances were a contributing cause of the 65-year-old comedian’s death. Again, at this point, there is no indication drug use played a part in this case. Unfortunately, it might take weeks to get results back from a lab, to determine his official cause of death.
