Priscilla Presley Marks Elvis' Birthday With Fans 45 Years After His Passing

It has been decades since music legend Elvis Presley passed away, but his memory still lives brightly in the hearts of others.

The late King of Rock and Roll's loving ex-wife Priscilla Presley celebrated his posthumous 87th birthday with his plethora of fans.

The "Dallas (Classic Series)" actress took to her social media with a photo from the event as well as a message of love and gratitude towards fans.

On Saturday, January 7, Priscilla updated her Instagram followers with a sweet photo from late Elvis' birthday celebration in Memphis.

The event was held on Saturday morning at the front lawn of Graceland, and a hoard of fans and friends were in attendance.

Priscilla uploaded a photo of herself holding a slice from a multi-tiered Elvis-themed birthday cake which she cut open at the event.

Kevin Kane and long-running Elvis Presley Enterprises CEO Jack Soden stood beside the actress in the photo. The trio looked jovial in front of numberless fans.

Priscilla was grateful to the attendees and took to her caption to express her thanks. She wrote:

"In Memphis Celebrating Elvis’  Birthday 45 yrs after his passing. Thank you to the huge support of Elvis fans in front of us."

Fans flooded the post with a barrage of well-wishes. Another supporter summed up the comments with, "You are amazing, continuing to celebrate Elvis' birthday, every year, at Graceland, with fans."

The fan concluded, "No wonder Elvis loved you. He would be so proud. We love you as well!! Happy Elvis day <3."

Speculations swirled that Priscilla was coerced into a marriage with Elvis but, she cleared the air at one of his posthumous birthday celebrations.

Last January, The Blast shared that the "Christmas at Graceland" actress got candid about her marital union in a tell-all statement.

At age 14, Priscilla met the "Can't Help Falling In Love" singer during his army service in January. They kept up phone contact and reunited in the summer, 1962.

The lovebirds were married in 1967 and divorced in 1973, four years before the "Forrest Gump" actor gave up the ghost.

During a question-and-answer segment at Elvis' 85th posthumous birthday, Priscilla expressed, "It was never my father that wanted me to go to Graceland."

Priscilla said she asked her mother to convince her dad to let her meet Elvis in 1962. She never begged the singer to stay in Graceland, but he invited her.

Priscilla and Elvis share a 53-year-old daughter, Lisa Marie Presley. She and her ex-boyfriend Marco Garibaldi also have a son, Navarone.

The Blast revealed this and more details about "The Naked Gun" series actress, including that she and Lisa are Scientologists.

Priscilla was introduced into the Church of Scientology by her old crush John Travolta. She is also a successful businesswoman who manages late Elvis' vast empire. 

The actress's first movie role was in the 1983 film "Love Is Forever," while her last movie was a cameo in Hallmark's "Wedding at Graceland," released in 2018.
