Host James Corden just revealed that "The Late Late Show with James Corden" is going to be off the air for a few days after the host tested positive for COVID-19. The recent uptick in COVID-19 cases has been wreaking havoc on the entertainment industry in what many fear to be a repeat of 2020.

“I just tested positive for covid 19,” Cordon wrote in an Instagram post on Thursday night. “I’m fully vaccinated, boosted and because of this am fortunate enough to say I feel completely fine. The show will be off the air for the next few days.”

“Stay safe everyone,” he added. “All my love, James x.”

Unfortunately, Corden is just the latest late-night host to test positive for COVID-19 in the past few days.

Seth Meyers Cancels 'Late Night' Shows After COVID-19 Diagnosis

On Tuesday, Seth Meyers announced on Twitter that he had also tested positive for COVID-19 and was canceling shows for the rest of the week.

"The bad news is, I tested positive for COVID (thanks, 2022!)" he wrote. "The good news is, I feel fine (thanks vaccines and booster!)"

He added, "We are canceling the rest of the shows this week, so tune in next Monday to see what cool location we will try and pass off as a studio!!!"

Meyers and Corden are far from alone. Host Jimmy Fallon also revealed that he had tested positive for COVID-19 at the start of the holiday break. Fortunately, he recovered in time to continue hosting "The Tonight Show" when it went back on air on January 3rd.

Jimmy Fallon Tests Positive, Returns For 'The Tonight Show'

On Instagram, host Jimmy Fallon revealed that he had tested positive for COVID-19 while the show was on hiatus over the holidays. Fortunately, Fallon was able to recover in time to continue hosting "The Tonight Show" on January 3rd.

"Hey guys, on the first day of our holiday break I tested positive for Covid," he wrote. "I was vaccinated and boostered which made me lucky enough to only have mild symptoms."

"Thank you to the doctors and nurses who work so hard around the clock to get everyone vaxxed," he continued. "Thank you to NBC for taking the testing protocols so seriously and doing a great job - and also thanks for putting me in the “What ‘chu talkin’ about Willis?' isolation room when they told me the news."

Fans and celebrities alike expressed their well wishes to Fallon for a quick recovery.

News anchor Al Roker commented, "Hang in there, Jimmy. We got it, toobut vaxxed and boosted and you get through."

Actress Reese Witherspoon commented, "Hope you had a speedy recovery!"

Singer Kristin Chenoweth commented, "Jimmy please rest. Eat. Repeat. Feel better."

Other Actors Are Also Testing Positive For COVID-19

Hugh Jackman and Debra Messing announced just before the start of the new year that they also tested positive for COVID-19.

Singer Jessie J revealed that she recently contracted COVID-19 at a concert in Los Angeles and Whoopi Goldberg’s status on “The View” is also up in the air after she tested positive for COVID-19 too.

According to Deadline, shows such as “NCIS” have even halted production after a cast member reportedly tested positive for COVID-19.

President Joe Biden took to Twitter on Wednesday to warn citizens that the recent surge in positive COVID cases is likely to continue.

“I’ll give it to you straight, as I promised that I always would: We’re going to see COVID cases continue to rise,” he tweeted. “But you have the power to protect yourself by getting vaccinated and getting boosted.”
