On January 5, the Good Charlotte guitarist marked this fantastic milestone by composing a special Instagram tribute for his lovely wife.

The 42-year-old rockstar proved he wasn't afraid to be vulnerable as the singer got candid about his longtime relationship with the former actress.

Seven years of romance is no easy feat, but for the former coach on "The Voice Australia," his marriage to Diaz has been nothing short of a dream come true.

Madden shared a painting of a tiger sitting beside a potted plant to commemorate the couple's anniversary and captioned this image with an emotional tribute to his wife.

The "I Just Wanna Live" singer, who has a daughter with the "Bad Teacher" actress, revealed his current family life used to be a dream.

The one half of The Madden Brothers pop group was grateful to Diaz for giving him a world that was filled with "happiness, peace, consistency, unconditional passion," and more.

According to the entertainer, describing the lovebirds' marriage as a "Honeymoon" phase wasn't enough to capture the depth of their romance.

Despite how blissful the past seven years have been for the spouses, Madden revealed in his concluding paragraph that one thing made the couple's relationship challenging. In his words:

"The only real challenge we have is making time go slower cause life goes by fast in the happy lane. Always and forever knowing we are home @camerondiaz Happy Anniversary I love you!"

In response to his heartfelt tribute, the "California Rain" artist's wife flooded the comment section with a similar declaration of love that read:

"YOU MORE AND MORE EVERYDAY. Happy, peaceful, consistent, loyal, and unconditional. Passionate and deep = OUR LOVE. LOVE YOU FOREVER AND ALWAYS."

The "Charlie's Angels" Star Left Hollywood For Her Family

Last August, The Blast revealed that Diaz had finally opened up about her decision to leave the spotlight for the sake of her family.

The Hollywood alum made her debut at 16 before climbing the ladder to become one of the most beloved actresses of all time.

With several accolades under her belt, many assumed the "Sex Tape" star would dominate the industry for years. However, the blonde beauty's reign came to an end in 2014.

Naturally, her decision broke fans' hearts, but the mother-of-one traded fame for something better. During Kevin Hart's "Hart To Heart" show, the BAFTA Award winner confessed that her retirement was necessary.

According to "The Mask" star, she had prioritized acting over several other aspects of her life as she couldn't manage them with the demands of her career. 

However, the entertainer was finally able to find contentment once she gained control of her affairs. In Diaz's words, "I just really wanted to make my life manageable by me."

The actress may have retired, but her achievements haven't been forgotten, as The Blast previously reported that director Cameron Bruce Crowe sang the 47-year-old's praises.

While celebrating the 20th anniversary of the movie "Vanilla Sky," Crowe told sources that the movie wouldn't have been a success without the former actress's charming persona.
