Recently, the best-selling author shared her new year resolution, which her fans reacted to. Gaines admitted that her mother's principle about life is quite different from hers as she takes life too seriously.

Gaines' New Year's Resolution

Two days ago, being the first day in 2022, Gaines shared her new year's resolution on Instagram. She initially wanted to share some deep thoughts and in-depth meaningful phrases but later had a rethink.

She later focused on a simple phrase that her mother kept ringing in her head time and time again. She said the message is her mantra as she journeys through the new year.

In the post, she explained that she was always a workaholic type of person who also took life too seriously most of the time, but life has always reminded her to take some time to play, rest, and enjoy.

Every time she was on a call with her mother, she always ended the call by telling her to have fun. She told her mother to write the phrase down so she could have it in her writing.

Gaines added that when she thought about what the new year might have in stock for her family, she felt the urge to express them in big grammar and deep thoughts. But her mother's simple phrase kept ringing in her head.

She Talked About Her New Year Would Be Like

Her mom's simple words became her mantra and wish for the new year. She said her new year's resolution is to worry less, play more, and "HAVE A FUN". She ended it with the phrase, "Let's go 2022."

Gaines got herself roller skates for Christmas and already showed off some of her moves on social media. In an Instagram post that she made on December 27, she said she got a pair of skates, and she is having a flashback from the 80s.

Four days later, she posted another video of herself skating, and she captioned it, "Rollin' into the new year, and it feels like it's gonna be a good one." The post garnered thousands of likes, and the comment section was filled with affirmative responses.

Fans' Reactions To Her Instagram Post About The New Year

Her mantra for the new year had a great reception from her online fans and followers. Many people admitted that they were going to journey the new year from an identical point of view. Some people also appreciated the reminder.
