Brown ripped off his football garb in the middle of the game and walked off the field.

He took off his helmet, jersey, shoulder pads, gloves, and under shirt, and basically said, “NOT TODAY SATAN.”

The incident happened in the third quarter when the Jets were leading 24-10. Jen Hale of Fox Sports reported that teammates Mike Evans and O.J. Howard tried to contain Brown’s “meltdown,” to no avail. Fans captured footage of the event, showing an irate Brown pulling off his clothes before walking off.

While walking across the field, Brown threw his gloves and undershirt into the crowd.

When asked about Brown’s status, Coach Bruce Arians made it clear: “He is no longer a Buc. Alright? That’s the end of the story. Let’s talk about the guys who went out there and won the game.”

Social media is absolutely losing it over this unexpected turn of events.

Former NFL running back O.J. Simpson had some thoughts on the matter.

He took a video of himself at a restaurant while watching football.

“Hey Twitter world. It’s yours truly watching championship weekend with many of my league co-players and fans. There’s one thing we all agree on, as well as the other people here, is what Tom Brady has done. But Antonio Brown, for him to pull what he pulled today is completely inexcusable. Playoffs are coming up and you pull this crap on a guy who really went out on a limb for you. Totally BS,” Simpson said.

One person humorously compared Brown’s exit to the scene when Will Ferrell’s character, Ricky Bobby, thought he was on fire in ‘Talladega Nights.’

“Live footage of Antonio Brown running off the field shirtless against the Jets today,” the person captioned the tweet.

Some people were more understanding of his actions given he took a very hard blow to the head when he was playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

People Are Sympathizing With Antonio Brown

Another tweeted out that Brown hasn’t been the same since that hit.

One even pointed out the fact that Simpson decided to comment on his actions, “Antonio Brown is getting criticism from everyone… even a Double Murderer.”

Simpson was tried for killing his wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and Ron Goldman, back in the 1990s. He was acquitted and found innocent of the crimes.

Brown’s teammate, Tom Brady, spoke out about his exit in a post-game press conference.

“Everyone should be compassionate and empathetic to some difficult things that are happening,” Brady said of his former teammate.

What’s most shocking is that Brown was just catches away from unlocking a $333,333.00 bonus.

According to Spotrac, Brown needed eight more catches to unlock a $333,333.00 bonus. He also needed 55 receiving yards to unlock another $333,333.00 bonus. He also needed just one receiving touchdown to unlock another $333,333.00 bonus.
