On Wednesday, December 1, Martin took to Twitter with a throwback photo from the set of the show's first season.

Fans could not hold back their excitement over the news and flocked to the post to share their various thoughts.

Another credited how comedic the series is, writing, "I just started watching this. We are laughing a LOT. What a great idea. No doubt the maestro Martin Short thought it all up."

The first season of "Only Murderers In The Building" that Martin and John Hoffman created has 10 episodes.

The show revolves around three characters played by Martin, Selena Gomez, and Martin Hoffman. The three are neighbors obsessed with a true-crime podcast.

The drama begins when a very suspicious passing occurs in "The Arconia," their high Row Upper West Side apartment building, but the police rule it as a suicide.

Unsatisfied with the authorities' verdict, the three true-crime-obsessed neighbors then embark on their investigation program to uncover the mysteries behind the death.

The new season of Martin's series will also feature supermodel and actress Cara Delevigne. Variety revealed that she will not be a guest actress but will join as a series regular named Alice.
