Faizon Love Says He Was Only Paid $2,500 For His Role In 'Friday'

In a new interview with Comedy Jam, Faizon Love revealed that he was only paid $2,500, for his role as "Big Worm." He appeared in "Friday." His role was a local drug dealer, who frequently checked on Smokey (played by Chris Tucker) to get money that was owed to him.

“See, it wasn’t really about the money then,” said Love. "I got to say I’m working, pay my rent, I ain’t out in the street doing no bulls—t. “It wasn’t iconic when we did it. They wanted to give me double-scale. The scale was $2,500, right. So that was $5,000."

Ice Cube Responds To Critics After Faizon Love Interview

After this latest Faizon Love interview was released, many critics on social media immediately started to accuse Ice Cube of robbing Love of what he should've been paid, for his role in Friday.

Ice Cube Also Speaks On Wanting To Bring Chris Tucker Back

Chris Tucker's Smokey role was one of the most popular characters in the Friday film. In Ice Cube's latest tweets, he revealed that Tucker was going to be offered $10-12 million to be casted in 2000's Next Friday.

For Tucker though, he supposedly turned it down, due to his new religious beliefs. That came after a fan asked Ice Cube if Tucker quit on wanting to do anymore Friday movies, over not being paid enough.

"We were ready to pay Chris Tucker $10-12m to do Next Friday but he turned us down for religious reasons. He didn’t want to cuss or smoke weed on camera anymore."
