Diddy Is Also The Owner Of Sean John Again

Diddy is making big power moves with his business endeavors as well. Last week, he became the owner of his iconic Sean John clothing brand. This is after winning an auction with a $7.5 million bid. Four other parties are said to have been in this bidding war, but in the end, Diddy was victorious.

Diddy initially sold Sean John back in 2016, to Global Brands Group. The clothing line ended up filing for bankruptcy, as it held 90% ownership of SJ. Diddy has since decided with him at the controls again, he can take SJ back to the promised land again.

Diddy originally founded Sean John back in 1998. In the early-mid 2000s, it became one of the premier urban fashion brands.

"I launched Sean John in 1998 with the goal of building a premium brand that shattered tradition and introduced Hip Hop to high-fashion on a global scale," said Diddy to TMZ. "Seeing how streetwear has evolved to rewrite the rules of fashion and impact culture across categories, I’m ready to reclaim ownership of the brand, build a team of visionary designers and global partners to write the next chapter of Sean John’s legacy."
