Last year, Diddy was supposed to have his annual New Year’s Eve party in Miami. That ended up being scrapped because of COVID-19 concerns, as there were not that many vaccines made available to the public at the time.
A year later, many anticipated that the Bad Boy mogul would bring his epic Miami NYE party back. Unfortunately though, this is getting canceled as well.
Diddy Cancels Miami NYE Party Again Over COVID Reasons
According to TMZ, Diddy isn’t going through with his Miami NYE party again, due to COVID concerns. 500 people were supposed to come to Miami to celebrate with Diddy, but he isn’t comfortable with going through with the party.
Many parties across the US simply decide to implement vaccine and negative COVID test requirements to get in, but Diddy apparently doesn’t want to take any risks.
In 2019, Diddy had a star-studded affair, as celebrities such as Fat Joe, Meek Mill, DaBaby, Winnie Harlow, and DJ Khaled were all in attendance. This was at Story nightclub.
Diddy Sold Home That Kim Porter Died In
On Monday, Diddy also made news due to him selling the home that his ex-girlfriend of 13 years, Kim Porter, died in. Porter passed away back in 2018, due to pneumonia. She and Diddy also had three children together.
According to TMZ, this property is located in Toluca Lake, in the San Fernando Valley, as it was initially listed in October. The price tag was also set at $7 million. As of now, the sale is still pending and is expected to officially be closed sometime this week.
Porter’s home is 9,655 square feet and contains six bedrooms and seven bathrooms. Among the amenities included are a pool and spa, along with a court with a myriad of sporting activities available.
Celebrities who live near this home include Billy Ray Cyrus, Viola Davis, Sia, and more.
Diddy Is Also The Owner Of Sean John Again
Diddy is making big power moves with his business endeavors as well. Last week, he became the owner of his iconic Sean John clothing brand. This is after winning an auction with a $7.5 million bid. Four other parties are said to have been in this bidding war, but in the end, Diddy was victorious.
Diddy initially sold Sean John back in 2016, to Global Brands Group. The clothing line ended up filing for bankruptcy, as it held 90% ownership of SJ. Diddy has since decided with him at the controls again, he can take SJ back to the promised land again.
Diddy originally founded Sean John back in 1998. In the early-mid 2000s, it became one of the premier urban fashion brands.
“I launched Sean John in 1998 with the goal of building a premium brand that shattered tradition and introduced Hip Hop to high-fashion on a global scale,” said Diddy to TMZ. “Seeing how streetwear has evolved to rewrite the rules of fashion and impact culture across categories, I’m ready to reclaim ownership of the brand, build a team of visionary designers and global partners to write the next chapter of Sean John’s legacy.”
