Meghan King and Cuffe Owens are calling it quits after about two and a half months of marriage. The reality star shared the devastating news in a social media update.

In an Instagram story update, King opened up about the devastating and shocking split via a statement that read,

I've been asked by many outlets and individuals to comment on the state of my marriage. I am rattled. This situation is profoundly devastating. This is obviously not what I imagined when I made my vows — and I'm shocked and saddened by the way things turned out.

The "Real Housewives of Orange County" alum revealed that she was dealing with the pain by "moving on" with her children, daughter Aspen, and twin sons Hayes and Hart. She concluded her statement, writing, "At the time I ask for your grave and gentle kindness as I navigate this labyrinth of grief with my family."

King's confirmation of their breakup comes days after Page Six reported that a source close to the couple revealed they had gone their separate ways. However, it was hard for fans to sense something was wrong with the relationship as it had only just begun and was private.

King and Owens became a couple back in October. As we reported of the ceremony, the now-former lovebirds exchanged their vows in Pennsylvania at Owens' mother's home, and the first couple was in attendance.

President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden took the day off for Columbus Day R&R and stopped at the ceremony to celebrate with the newlyweds.

King showed off some beautiful moments from the ceremony in several social media posts. The former reality star looked ravishing in a chic blazer dress by Rosario with a beaded fascinator. Owens, a Los Angeles-based attorney, donned a dapper blue suit that themed with King's shoes.

The reality star captioned a photo of her and Owens sharing a heartwarming smile, "We just knew. Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Owens."

Per reports, King and Owens found each other after chatting via a dating app. It was an instant connection for the duo as Owens flew to King's state, and the pair became inseparable.

In just a week of dating, the pair had met each other's families and were already planning a future together. In September, the "Intimate Knowledge" podcast host went Instagram official with Owens.

She shared a super romantic photo of them outdoors and described the lawyer as "my main squeeze."
