Kanye West Buys House Across The Street From Kim, Great Dad, Or Desperate Ex?

Kanye West seems to be pulling another trick from his book as his divorce from Kim Kardashian is impending.

The rapper recently made a major money move, and we can't tell if he's trying to get back his estranged wife or be closer to his kids.

According to Dirt, Kanye, now formally known as Ye, pulled quite the stunt when he purchased a property across the street from Kim's Los Angeles Hidden Hills home.

The "Praise God" rapper splurged a whopping $4.5 million on an estate in the area that keeps him extra close to his soon-to-be former wife. Compared to his numerous other properties, the new home, described as a bachelor pad, is quite modest.

The property, a single-story rancher, sits on 1 acre of land and has a square foot of about 3,600. The house boasts four bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms alongside an attached guest studio with a full bathroom. Other additions include an equestrian ranch with horse stables.

Melissa and Jason Improta of Compass did the house's listing, and Ye was reportedly so desperate to get the home across from Kim that he paid $421,000 over the asking price to outbid other prospective buyers.

It's hard to tell what exactly is Kanye's motive behind buying the new property as he already has a $57.3 million Malibu property 30 minutes away from Kim's home by car. Does he want to try harder to get Kim back, or is he trying to be closer to his kids?

Kanye's new purchase comes a month after openly declaring that he wanted to get Kim back during a Thanksgiving charity ceremony in L.A. As you might know, the 22-time Grammy Award winner stated that God wanted Kimye back and would use their fixed marriage to inspire other families.

If the enemy can separate Kimye, there’s going to be millions of families that feel like that separation is okay… but when God brings Kimye together, there’s going to be millions of families that are going to be influenced to see that they can overcome the work of the separation.

Shortly after, in his December 9 Larry Hoover concert with Drake, Kanye made another grand gesture when he begged her to "run right back to him"  during his performance of his tune, "Runaway."

Despite Kanye's big gestures, Kim's mind seems set on leaving the marriage. Following the concert shoutout, Kim shocked fans when she filed to be declared legally single.

As The Blast previously covered, Kim explained in court documents that nothing could be done to help repair the marriage. "No counseling or reconciliation effort will be of any value at this time," she stated.

She also noted that there'd been a long-standing issue of "irreconcilable differences" between them, and divorce was the only option. Only time will tell if Kanye's latest endeavor would affect Kim's decision.
