Tobey Maguire's Wife, Jennifer Meyer, Asks For Joint Custody of Their Children

Tobey Maguire's ex-wife, Jennifer Meyer, is asking a judge to order joint legal and physical custody of the couple's two children.
In new legal documents, obtained by The Blast, Jennifer cited irreconcilable differences as their reason for the couple's split in her filing to end the marriage.
In the documents, Meyer is asking that joint custody of the children be ordered to both her and the 'Spiderman' star, indicating that the split is amicable.
As you know, Jennifer and Tobey have two children - Ruby and Otis, and Meyer is also telling the court she is willing to work through their issues with private mediation which is very common in high profile divorces.

In the majority of celebrity divorces, the couple went into the marriage with an iron-clad prenup, which will outline things like custody and split of the massive fortune.
Tobey Maguire made a killing in the 'Spiderman' series and other movies, but depending on what was filmed and earned WHILE they were married, the couple would end up splitting it down the middle. But, if it was before, he could keep the income generated from those projects.
As for child support, spousal support, separate and community property, and other assets, Jennifer marked the "other" box and has specified that she and Tobey will work through these issues through private mediation.

Jennifer signed her petition for dissolution of marriage on October 15th, but it wasn't filed until Halloween weekend. What's interesting is she hired Michael Cotugno's law firm is called "Conscious Divorce." You know like, 'Conscious Uncoupling' -- if you don't google it when you are done.
Fun fact - Lake Bell's ex, Scott Campbell, retained the same attorney and filed for divorce the same day as Jennifer Meyer.
As for the massive fortune, either it's too much to go through at this point or they have been going over it for years now -- remember they have been split for 4 years.

The good news...it seems that everything is going to end well in this famous divorce after Jennifer went on the recond and called her ex-husband a 'best friend.'
Jennifer, who is also a well-known celebrity jewelry designer, told US Weekly recently that Tobey was "the greatest ex-husband a girl could ever have.”
Tobey has yet to file his response in this case but we're guessing the details will be similar to his ex's requests for custody and support.
Plus, it appears they saved a bunch of money on expensive lawyers!
