Comedian, actor, rapper, TV host – Nick Cannon can do it all.
Cannon got his start on “All That” before making a name for himself as a host on “The Nick Cannon Show,” “Wild ‘n Out,” “America’s Got Talent,” “Lip Sync Battle Shorties,” and “The Masked Singer.”
Although Cannon has a lot going on in 2022, he revealed that he is taking his “Wild ‘N Out” comedy improv show on tour in the summer… which will be filmed and turned into a full feature-length film.
Nick Cannon’s New Summer Tour Is A Can't-Miss Event!
Even though the public is nervous about the spread of the new Omicron variant, that hasn’t stopped fans from gearing up for a summer of fun.
Cannon warned fans that his 2022 tour is “already selling out” in an exclusive interview with BET.
“We’re back outside and ‘Wild ‘n Out,’ the tour, is going to have that Coachella, Rolling Loud-type vibe,” he teased. “We’re bringing so many artists that you love from previous seasons, your favorite comedians, playing your favorite games from the show — it’s really going to be a festival vibe.”
The tour starts in May, but Cannon revealed that the fun is going to start long before then.
He revealed, “We’ll be casting for the next stars of ‘Wild ‘n Out,’ the ‘Wild ‘n Out’ goddesses will be in attendance, there will be activations, and, of course, there’ll be so many partners who will be involved.”
Nick Cannon Is Turning His ‘Wild ‘N Out’ Tour Into A Movie!
Cannon has his sights set on “bigger and better” things in 2022, which is why he decided to turn the tour into a feature-length film that he plans to release in movie theaters nationwide.
“I feel like Wild 'n Out is one of the most culturally important and progressive shows of our time,” he stated. “For two decades, we’ve been putting on for the culture and I don’t think this kind of story has been told.”
“We really want to show the process of how I started a comedy show with rising talents such as Kevin Hart, Katt Williams, Deray Davis, and Affion Crockett, who are all now household names,” he added. “I really want to show how we turned Wild ‘n Out into a global, billion-dollar brand.”
Nick Cannon Is Already Making It Big In The Film Industry!
Fans don’t have to wait until the film comes out in order to see Cannon on the silver screen. Cannon wrote, directed, and starred in a film called “Miracles Across 125th Street.”
The holiday special follows the story of a Harlem rapper who returns to his family’s church on Christmas Eve after a long struggle with drug addiction. The movie has an all-star cast of Lil Kim, DC Young Fly, Rickey Smiley, Luenell, Tommy Davidson, Jim Jones, and “The Masked Singer” season 6 runner-up, Todrick Hall.
“This film is more than just a film — it’s a cultural experience,” Cannon shared. “Being someone who grew up loving our culture in every aspect and having strong influences from the church, gospel, hip hop, and comedy — I was able to put all that in one big pot and come out with a remarkable story that resonates with the holidays.”
He added, “My goal was to create something you can watch year after year even when it isn’t Christmastime.”
“Miracles Across 125th Street” aired on Monday, December 20, on VH1.
