Sarah Jessica Parker is breaking her silence on allegations against her co-star, Chris Noth, along with Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon.
The 'Sex And The City' star issued a joint statement alongside the other actresses supporting the women who came forward with stories about Noth's sexual misconduct. The three stars say they are "saddened" by the allegations against Noth -- who plays Mr. Big on the show -- and "commend" the alleged victims for telling going public.
"We are deeply saddened to hear the allegations against Chris Noth," the statement read.
It continued, "We support the women who have come forward and shared their painful experiences. We know it much be a very difficult thing to do and we commend them for it."
Chris Noth Fired From CBS's Drama 'The Equalizer'
SJP's statement comes on the heels of Noth being fired from his role on CBS's 'The Equalizer.' This is the second time in the past few days that Noth has lost major business deals, including a massive $12 million sale of his tequila company. It should be noted, Noth denies sexually assaulting anyone and released his own statement about the allegations.
"The accusations against me made by individuals I met years, even decades, ago are categorically false. These stories could’ve been from 30 years ago or 30 days ago -- no always means no -- that is a line I did not cross. The encounters were consensual. It’s difficult not to question the timing of these stories coming out. I don’t know for certain why they are surfacing now, but I do know this: I did not assault these women," he said.
'Sex And The City' Star Denies Sexual Assaaul Allegations
Up until this point, the 'SATC' stars had remained silent on the situation and were in a bad spot -- considering they were currently doing press for the latest sequel of the uber-popular show on HBO.
As we reported, three different women have leveled allegations against the legendary actor -- including one who pointed out she was "violated" by him in 2015. The woman claims Noth told her, "He said marriage is a sham. Monogamy is not real. [He] was having sex with me from the back in a chair. We were in front of a mirror. I was kind of crying as it happened -- I went to the bathroom and put on my skirt. I was feeling awful -- All of my dreams with this star I loved for years were gone."
No Criminal Investigation In Chris Noth Case...Yet
A different woman say she was assaulted back in 2004, claiming she reported the incident to police. "I realized there was blood on my shirt. I got out of there. I went to my friend’s apartment [in the same building]. I had stitches. Two police officers came. I wouldn’t say who it was."
At this point, there is no criminal investigation into the brutal allegations. But, in a case like this, one or more of the alleged victims would have to file a police report in the city in which they were allegedly assaulted -- and that would be turned over to local prosecutors.
