Keanu Reeves may be the next superhero or sexy villain in Marvel's Cinematic Universe!

The 57-year-old actor is one of Hollywood's biggest stars, best known for charming viewers with an array of versatile performances in action-packed movies.

Now, the superstar is making a splashy return to the sci-fi genre with "The Matrix Resurrections," and fans want their favorite badass to showcase his skills in the MCU movies.

Keanu Reeves Wants To Be A Part Of The MCU

During the premiere of "The Matrix Resurrections" at the Castro Theater in San Francisco, Reeves got candid about his desire to join the MCU with ET's correspondent Matt Cohen.

The "John Wick" star previously confessed that he would love to be a part of Marvel's hit franchise in November, and this goal hasn't changed. In the entertainer's words:

"There's so many wonderful films and filmmakers and artists participating in those films. It would be fun to be a part of."

The author of "Ode to Happiness" wasn't a stranger to participating in critically-acclaimed movies such as "The Matrix" and "John Wick" franchises. However, being a superhero has eluded the actor's career.

Well, that status would soon change as the Canadian has been confirmed to be the star and producer of a live-action adaptation of his comic book, "BRZRKR."

The Hollywood heartthrob has his sights set on the comic scene as he would also voice the lead character in an anime series that would be developed alongside "BRZRKR" by Netflix.

"The Matrix Resurrections" Promises To Be A Non-Stop Rollercoaster Of Excitement

Reeves may be over 50, but the actor is still kicking ass like a man in his 20s. For fans, who enjoy action-packed movies, "The Matrix Resurrections" has all the excitement you need.

The co-founder of Arch Motorcycle Company went all out for the upcoming film, including jumping off a building with his co-star and on-screen love interest, Carrie-Anne Moss. The entrepreneur said:

"There's a moment where they're trying to survive, and so we kind of took a leap, a lovers leap let's say, off of the building. One of the coolest things about these films is that you get to do cool stuff."

These "cool" stunts weren't for the weak, as the "Speed" actor and his co-star needed to shoot this heartstopping scene close to 20 times.

Moss praised the 4-time MTV Movie Awards for pulling off their stunt without being terrified regarding their leap of faith. The actress jokingly stated she held onto Reeves for "dear life."

The highly anticipated installment of "The Matrix" franchise shall hit theaters on December 22, and it will also be available for streaming on HBO Max.

MCU President Wants The "Constantine" Star In His Movies

Last month, The Blast reported that Reeves's dream to be a part of Marvel's Cinematic Universe might become a reality as Marvel's Studio President Kevin Feige wanted the actor. 

The filmmaker revealed that the studio had previously approached the Hollywood sensation with an offer to join their movies; however, they were waiting for the perfect role to give the entertainer. 

Just as Jake Gyllenhaal starred as Mysterious in the "Spider-Man: Far From Home," Feige confessed that they hoped to find a role that suited Reeves's personality.

Given how things are going, fans may see their favorite actor in an upcoming MCU movie.
