Abigail Breslin Shows Off BRUTAL Mosquito Bites, I Got 'Eaten Alive!'

Actress Abigail Breslin is proving it's not all glitz and glamour for hard-working celebrities, showing off brutal images of her legs after getting "eaten alive" by mosquitos.

The 'Little Miss Sunshine' star took to Instagram to remind fans that celebrities don't always have perfect skin and perfect bodies -- regardless of their ability to get touched up by professionals. In this case, Breslin was absolutely brutalized by the insects, and the pictures of her legs are unbelievable.

In the photos, Breslin reveals preparation for a photoshoot or movie set, where a professional makeup artist is covering up the massive wounds. You've gotta see this!

"Oftentimes we think that “celebrities” have perfect skin, perfect bodies, perfect hair, perfect makeup. It’s simply NOT the truth. This photo was taken an hour after the second one. I’d gotten eaten alive by mosquitos a week earlier," the actress captioned the stunning pictures.

She continued, "The fact that my makeup artist [Dahlia Warner] was able to cover it was merely because of her professional talents. What you see in magazines and on-screen is often the result of great makeup and good lighting. So don’t think this all happens naturally and go easier on yourself."

As you can see, after the touch-ups, Abigail's legs appear to be completely rid of the terrible bites. Now, that's Hollywood!

Of course, Abigail is making a bigger point -- making sure people who watch their favorite celebs in movies and TV shows, remember that it's not always an accurate depiction of them in real life. So, as she said, take it easy on yourself.

Fans flooded Breslin's Instagram feed in appreciation of this post, with one person writing, "This actually makes me feel so much better/hits so hard for me as I’ve spent hundreds $$ the past few months getting scars lasered from my legs." The actress recently opened up about her connection to 'Little Miss Sunshine' saying she would "never want" to distance herself from the film, but...has a few things to say about the topic. As you know, she had a big break with the film at just 10 years old. "Sometimes people forget that I'm 25 years old and not nine anymore," she told E! News. Interesting, she admits it's partially based on the fact that she is still really little -- saying, "I'm really short at 5-foot-1, and I look very little."

At this point, the actress says her agents are often told by casting directors that "she's a little young" for a particular part -- explaining, "People tend to want to keep you in one specific pigeonhole."

She continued, "I would never want to distance myself from it. It opened so many doors for me and gave me so many opportunities and is the reason why I'm where I'm at today."
