Season 6 of “The Masked Singer” went out with a bang last night!

After a season full of talent from Faith Evans, Katharine McPhee, Natasha Bedingfield, Toni Braxton, and even Rob Schneider, the final two competitors left standing were Bull and Queen of Hearts.

The Queen of Hearts and the Bull seemed evenly matched going into the finale. Although Bull wowed audiences with his signature dance moves – and was somehow able to perform a split in that costume! – the Queen of Hearts learned French to perform an outstanding take of “La Vie en Rose.”

In the end, Bull was unmasked and Queen of Hearts was selected as the winner of season 6 of “The Masked Singer,” joining the ranks of former winners like T-Pain, WayneBrady, and last year’s Nick Lachey.

By the finale, judges Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, and Nicole Scherzinger all recognized the signature voice of Jewel; however, judge Ken Jeong was the only dissenting vote. He doubled down on his first impression guess of Renee Zellweger.

No one was all that shocked when host Nick Cannon unmasked the Queen of Hearts to reveal the one and only Jewel!

Why Did Jewel Perform On ‘The Masked Singer’?

In a post-unmasking interview with Variety, Jewel revealed that she did the show to maintain a good work-life balance with her son.

“Being a single mom in the music business is really difficult,” she explained. “And so I’m always looking for opportunities that helped me creatively and allow me to be a mom. I thought this show really fit. It didn’t require so much of my time that it would disrupt my son’s life.”

She also liked the unique challenge that being on the show would give her.

“I don’t tend to show off my technical ability as a singer,” she added. “My heroes are like Sarah Vaughan, who inspired me to sing, and Edith Piaf and Patsy Cline. And so this show gave me a chance to focus on my vocals, on pushing myself technically as a singer.”

Jewel Appeared On ‘The Masked Singer’ To Showcase Her Self-Worth

“I do a lot of work in the mental health space, and I say that our self-worth cannot be tied to anything outside of ourselves,” she shared. “We’re not our name, we’re not our job. And so what if all those things went away. Oddly, that’s what this show allowed me to do. It wasn’t focused on my stories, my name, it was just really based on my heart.”

During her unmasking, Jewel revealed that she really connected to the Queen of Hearts costume because she had a lot of heart.

“I think heart one of most important things in my life and in the world and what I stand for, and so in a really strange way, this silly, fun show allowed me to share an essential part of myself that was really authentic,” she continued.

“First of all, it’s kind of my dream come true because I hate hair and makeup,” she added. “It’s such an Alaskan girl that the most annoying part of my job is getting made up all the time. And so just getting to throw a mask on my head really fast and swift, it’s so efficient!”

Although fans are sad to see Jewel go, she has plans to release EP covers of all of the songs she performed on the show, appropriately titled “Queen of Hearts.”
