Mariah Carey Says Verzuz Battle With Beyoncé Would Be 'Disrespecting Myself'

Mariah Carey is sounding off on the possibility of a Verzuz battle with another icon of similar status, Beyoncé.
There's no doubt, Beyoncé and Mariah rule the world of music. Their super-successful careers and mind-blowing voices are indeed proof of this. Hence, it comes as no surprise that fans want to see the two powerhouses go head-to-head in a Verzuz battle.
While that will undoubtedly go down as one of the most historic Verzuz battles, there's a high chance it won't ever happen, at least according to Mariah.
Mariah Carey Won't Ever Challenge Beyoncé
During an interview with E! News, the "Touch My Body" singer was asked about the possibility of having a Verzuz with Queen B.
Mariah wasted no time in praising Beyoncé and declaring her love for Bey. She said, "I love Beyoncé and I admire her so much as a performer for what she's done for the world and everything else."
However, on the subject of challenging Beyoncé to a Verzuz battle, it's a resounding no for Mariah. The mother-of-two took a humble stance on the subject as she said:
I’d be disrespecting myself and I’m not going to do that because it’s Christmas time.
It seems fans won't be getting the Verzuz battle they so desire anytime soon! But, maybe Beyoncé would grant our heart desires!
A Holiday Mariah Menu
Mariah also discussed her collaboration with McDonald's for a holiday Mariah Menu. Of course, it's no news that the 52-year-old is the Queen of Christmas.
Mariah's menu will be available to customers from Christmas Eve and last for 12 days while giving them the chance to win free items.
Much more than spreading the cheer through her melodious voice this Christmas, Mariah has plans to make an impact in her fans' kitchens.
For this year's Christmas, she is bringing back her famous Mariah's Cookies, created via a partnership with restauranteur Robert Earl.
Mariah's Cookies 2021 Holiday line includes flavors like Cinnamon Sugar, Gingerbread, and Chocolate Raspberry Truffle. It can be ordered online on mariahcareyscookies.com.

A New Holiday Anthem
As you might know, Mariah's hit song, "All I Want For Christmas," is the anthem for the holiday, topping charts year after year like a newly released tune.
However, this year, the five-time Grammy Award winner gave fans a pleasant surprise when she released a new holiday song!
The tune titled "Fall In Love At Christmas" features Khalid and gospel singer Kirk Franklin and it has since been making waves.
Alongside the new song an Apple TV+ special titled "Mariah Christmas: The Magic Continues" is set to air sometime this month.
