The reality star revealed the stunning details on her ‘Give Them Lala’ podcast claiming her engagement ring was a “fake” and was originally a “s–t brown diamond.” The reality star fought through tears as she told the story, saying she is finding out more information “daily” about the film producer’s secrets within their relationship. At this point, she feels like each one is like “a punch in the gut.”
The ‘Vanderpump Rules’ star revealed during the episode that the 6-carat round-cut diamond she was sporting since 2018, was in fact a low-quality stone.
So…How did she find out?
Lala Kent Claims Her Massive Engagement Ring Is A Fake!
Well, the reality star recalled a conversation between Randall and her mother, about how “some rappers take sh—y diamonds and make them pretty,” so she decided to get it tested. Following the October split, Lala took the ring to a “highly recommended” jeweler who found the GIA certification of the stone, who confirmed it as a gem that had been “treated by one or more processes to change its color.”
Shockingly, the jeweler told the reality star that the diamond “was most likely brown” before its treatment, making it worth far less money. In a stunning revelation, the original price tag of the ring ($150,000) — is actually more likely in the “teens” of thousands.
‘Vanderpump Rules’ Star Says Engagement Ring Has A Low Quality Diamond
At the time, it was revealed in the media that the huge sparkler was worth six figures, and took two weeks to create. Richie Rich from Leon Diamond in New York City claimed Randall contacted him and flew out to New York, “about three to four times to sit down with [him] and design the ring.” Adding, “Once we agreed on a design it took about 14 business days to create from start to finish.”
It’s unclear if the jeweler knew the true price of the diamond, but Kent gushed on Instagram after receiving it in Cabo San Lucas. “Last night was the best night of my entire life. I got engaged to the man of my dreams. I get to call this amazing human my fiancé! An engagement last night, my birthday today, and every sign my dad could possibly send me to let me know he’s here. I’m the happiest girl in the world,” she wrote at the time.
Lala Kent & Randall Emmett Split After Having A Baby Daughter
The best part, Lala claims she confronted Emmett about the diamond and says he was “a little stressed out” about it. But, he offered to rework the stone into a necklace. “[Randall] knew exactly what he was buying. He knew the diamond he was getting,” she admitted.
In the end, she says “I love any type of ring that is given and has sentimental value. I don’t care if it was $100, I don’t care if it was $100 million — I don’t,” but couldn’t help herself but take one more dig, saying, “No wonder he whose name we shall not mention flew in four times, he had to make sure the s–t brown diamond was clear!”
