Singer Lea Michele is opening up about becoming a new mother, and how the pregnancy really 'shook' her, changing her perspective about what's important in life.
The 'Glee' star sat down with Hoda Kotb on SiriusXM to talk about her lullaby album, 'Forever,' and was asked how motherhood has changed her perspective, after having a son. Of course, she admitted it changed "everything," but she's "grateful" for how it has all turned out.
"My pregnancy really shook me," Michele admitted. Adding, "And it kind of took everything. It's like everything else just wiped away. And I felt, for the first time, like...frozen in this moment in my life of like, ‘Who am I? What am I? What do I want? What do I believe in?’ And faith and everything just kind of all came zeroing in on what matters the most. And finding strength that I never thought that I had or had to have. And then you see your baby."
Interestingly, the 'Glee' star says motherhood has "softened" her in many ways and made her realize what is truly important in life.

"I think, for me, it just has really grounded me and softened me in so many ways. And also just put so much perspective on what really matters and what I want the rest of my life to look like," she concluded.
The singer released the new 'Forever' album which includes modern lullabies, like covers of 'Sweet Child O' Mine' and 'Here Comes The Sun' that is dedicated to her toddler, Ever.
As we reported, Lea welcomed her baby son with her husband -- Zandy Reich -- who she married in 2019. The couple reportedly moved their longtime family home from the West Coast to the East Coast, and are waiting to move into their "permanent home."
The 'Glee' star made headlines in the past few days after revealing a few meaningful items she keeps at the family's Long Island home, including her five favorite ones.

To start, the actress has a comfy daybed, and says, "I had wanted a daybed for so long -- just a cozy space where I can relax, meditate, read a book. Our interior designer searched long and hard to find something that worked for my office, and it’s one of my favorite pieces in the house. I spend so much of my private time here and it’s beyond comfortable. It’s a bit of a bulky piece for me, but the rest of my office is incredibly minimal."
Also, the couple has a Hermes "ring plate" to house their hardware at night. "My friend and publicist Nicole got me this little ring plate before I met my husband," she recalled. Adding, "She said, ‘One day, you’re going to put your wedding rings in here.’ I kept it empty for a long time. Now that I am married, it’s incredibly special to me. I keep it by my bedside and use it for my wedding rings and a few small pieces of jewelry."
