Jessa Duggar Seewald is coming to her older sister, Jana Duggar’s, defense.
The “19 Kids and Counting” star recently made headlines, just one day after Josh Duggar was found guilty, for misdemeanor child endangerment.
On Friday, December 10, Jana was charged with endangering the welfare of a child in Arkansas.
The incident happened on September 9.

The county clerk told the Daily Mail they were not at liberty to say if the charge was connected to Josh.
She entered a plea deal and is expected to appear in the Washington County District court on January 10, the county clerk revealed.
Now, Jessa is speaking out about the incident, which she deems an ‘innocent mistake.’
Taking to Instagram Stories on Monday, December 13, Jessa wrote, “Getting messages about headlines about Jana. Bottom line — it was an innocent mistake."

The mother-of-four continued explaining, "She was babysitting and one of the kids slipped out the door unnoticed, but it ended safely. Could've happened to anyone.”
“The media is sensationalizing this because of other current family circumstances and it makes me so mad,” Jessa said referring to Josh’s child pornography case. “She’s without question one of the most amazing women I know and I’d trust her with my kids any day of the week. Do me a favor – give the girl a break, and all you perfect humans go back to living your lives.”
Jana has no children of her own and is not married, making her the oldest Duggar child not married.
If found guilty of endangering the welfare of a child, she could face up to 30-90 days in jail.
Jana’s cousin, Amy Duggar King, also came to her defense.
On Saturday, December 11, Amy took to her Instagram Story writing, “I will call out what is right and I will call out what is wrong. This couldn't have been intentional. I bet you were exhausted, stressed and just emotionally worn out.”

Her message continued, "Watching multiple kids is hard! Bc there's so many of them and you only have two eyes!! It's a very sad situation going on and my heart goes out to @janamduggar love you."
Amy added the child was ‘found’ and ‘ok.’
The past few weeks have not played out in favor of the Duggar’s favor.
As we mentioned, Josh was found guilty on both charges in his child pornography case.
GUILTY
TMZ shared that the former reality star is charged with one count each of receiving and possessing child pornography. If you weren’t disgusted enough, it was revealed that some of the images included minors 12 and under.
A number of Josh’s siblings have come out in support of the victims, and publicly dragged their brother.
