Kobe Bryant’s Daughter Talks Quitting Volleyball
Following the tragic passing of her father Kobe and her sister Gianna in a January 2020 helicopter crash, Natalia decided to quit playing Volleyball.
The Blast shared in September that the 18-year-old told Teen Vogue she fell in love with the sport at age 9 when her mother took her to the 2012 London Olympics.
Vanessa told her daughter she would love Volleyball, and it would help her become more confident about her tall height.
Natalia ended up loving the activity and even wanted to play Division I in college until the dreadful passing of her loved ones.
The freshman admitted to the magazine that “a lot was going on,” and she was okay quitting the sport because she did not love it the way Kobe and Gianna loved basketball.
Natalia is more interested in her filmmaking studies at USC—a passion she said her beloved patriarch passed down and “reminds us of where we are.”
