Former "Boy Meets World" star Maitland Ward took a huge leap of faith when she switched over from appearing on Disney to the world of adult entertainment, but the career change ended up being the right move for Ward, who is now gracing August's issue of AVN Magazine.
Draped in a sheer black bodysuit, the fiery-red porn maven stares into the camera with her piercing blue eyes while cementing her place among the top adult entertainers in the world.
Along with becoming AVN's cover girl for the August 2020 issue, Ward will also be showing off an impressive 22-page spread that she did with photographer Keith Ryan.
"Much thanks and gratitude to AVN for putting me on the cover of the August issue - it is such an honor!” Ward said in a statement.
She added, "“Keith Ryan is a fantastic photographer and we had a great time shooting this beautiful cover and layout… the 22-page spread inside of the magazine is incredible!”
43-year-old Ward recently penned an op-ed for The Daily Beast, where she explained how a career change into porn allowed her to be herself and find freedom from the restraints of the Hollywood machine. She also revealed, on the upcoming anniversary of 1-year in porn, how she is cashing much bigger checks than her Disney Channel days and genuinely cares about her craft.
'Many expected my rise in the adult world, including many in the adult world itself, to be a flash in the pan. It was a stunt. I wasn't serious. But that's what makes this story different: my genuine love for adult performance and for colorful cinema."
The multiple AVN Award winner has also been flexible with the changes the adult industry has faced in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. In an interview with The Ringer, Ward described how paid subscriptions to her OnlyFans account surged, earning her thousands of dollars in a flourishing new style of direct-to-consumer based entertainment.
"Before camming and before OnlyFans and stuff, they didn’t have an outlet ... It’s just put so much control in the hands of the performers," she told the outlet.
