Mark Cuban has been one of the most dominant figures in sports, over the past 20 years. He's known mostly for being the owner of the Dallas Mavericks, who've won one NBA championship, during the course of his ownership.

Now, Cuban is making even more huge investments, in Texas. This involves a very small town, which only has a population of 23 people.

Cuban Buys Town Of Mustang, TX

According to the Dallas Morning News, Cuban has reportedly purchased the town of Mustang. This is said to be located an hour southeast of Dallas. Mustang is in Navarro County, and to no surprise, there are very few people and businesses there, but apparently, plenty to do.

Mustang reportedly only has two businesses, a mobile home park, and a strip club. Cuba supposedly made this move in order to help a friend of his, and is still figuring out what exactly he will do, in Mustang. The town initially went on sale back in 2017, for $4 million.

Mustang Spans 77 Acres

There can be a lot of development in Mustang, as it spans just 77 acres, and is right next door, to the town of Corsicana. Mustang was also discovered back in the 70s, and at that time, liquor sales weren't allowed, in the town.

“I had a fair amount of interest in it, but it was priced too high — even when we bought it down to $2 million,” said Dallas real estate broker Mike Turner. “The old strip club is not in good repair, but it could be redone for something. It’s a natural for Mark with the Mavericks to have Mustang."

Cuban Rumored To Be In Competition With Elon Musk

Elon Musk also moved his Tesla headquarters to Texas, and it's been rumored that Cuban wants to dominant in the markets, over Musk, in the state. The purchase of Mustang is supposedly one move that Cuban made, in an attempt to one-up Musk, even though the Mavs owner has yet to speak on this, nor has Musk.

Cuban Addressed Possible 2024 Presidential Run

Back in January, Cuban spoke with Brandon "Scoop B" Robinson, and one of the topics was him possibly making a run at the White House, in 2024. Cuban explained how this is something that he would do, only if he feels is completely necessary, close tot to that election. He also emphasized that there will be plenty of qualified candidates, to run for president.

Cuban's Dallas Mavericks Are Vying For Another Playoff Appearance

Currently, Cuban's Mavs stand at number six in the Western Conference, with an 11-11 record. They are led by one of the best players in the NBA, in Luka Doncic. Their last two playoff appearances haven't gone as planned at all though, as they lost to the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round, both times.
