Aaron Carter is showing some love to his fam!
The singer, 34, returned to Instagram today to give a shoutout to his family -- a positive one this time. As reported by The Blast last week, Carter dissed them on social media for being nosy with his life. He also blamed them for his short-lived split with fiancé Melanie Martin, 29.
Doting Dad
He shared a video of himself wrapping his son Prince in a blanket and placing him in his crib. Since today is his birthday, he also thanked fans for the warm greetings.
"On the night shift daddy duties. Thank you so much everyone for all your wishes for my birthday I was born December 7, 1987," Carter wrote in the caption.
A Message To His Family
He continued, "today and I love you mom I love you dad I love my whole family regardless of anything that’s happened."
The "I Want Candy" hitmaker also said he wants "to be a better version" of himself.
He ended his note by also giving a shoutout to his baby mama by writing, "I love you @missmelaniemartin thank you for the best gift of my life no matter what we’ve been through we have pulled through you’re an amazing mother xo."
Their Nasty Split

On November 30, Carter blasted his family on Twitter for speaking to Martin behind his back.
"Due to personal reason Melanie Martin and I have decided to go our separate ways. There has been a very big lie and my sister communicating w my ex fiancé ruined everything considering she knew what angel tried to do to me in court thanks angel you ruined my family. God bless,” he tweeted.
The "House of Carters" alum claimed that his twin sister, Angel, communicated with his fiancé for two years, which angered him.
“I have the most conniving deceiving family and Melanie has been lying to me the whole time communicating with my twin sister and the family members who tried to put me in prison and who tried to get a conservatorship on me in court. I’m in shocked this is horrible,” Carter wrote in another tweet.
He added, “I can’t even shed a tear. I’m in utter shock i’ve been lied to for two years my family won’t leave me alone they try to ruin everything no I’m a single father. The worst part about it is she knew what they were doing to me and she lied to me for two years.”
Like Nothing Happened
Things quickly changed a few days after when Carter shared a video on Instagram showing his followers that he was back home with his baby. He added a caption where he professed his love for Martin.
"I love you for giving me the greatest gift. You are an amazing woman l, my everything I am so grateful for you my darling," he wrote, adding, "thank you to everyone who has been supportive. Relationships aren’t easy but we love, cherish and adore our son."
