
While Drake is literally telling the Grammys thanks, but no thanks with his most recent nominations to the awards Selena Gomez is crying her eyes out over getting nominated. The singer had already hinted that she’d gotten quite emotional when it was announced that she would be nominated for Best Latin Pop Album category for her Spanish album Revelación. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight the Hotel Transylvania star got emotional again even talking about the moment. While detailing that she had been thinking about working on a Spanish language project for the better part of 10 years to be able to honor her heritage.

“I cried like a little baby. I was very excited, I worked really hard on that project, so it was a lovely surprise. I’m very excited!”

“This has been something I’ve wanted to do for 10 years, working on a Spanish project, because I’m so, so proud of my heritage, and just genuinely felt like I wanted this to happen,” Gomez went on to say “And it happened, and I feel like it’s the perfect timing. Just with all the division in the world, there’s something about Latin music that globally just makes people feel things, you know?”

“It just consists of adults playing with dumb toys and bunch of kids being happy,” she would go on to add, “And a lot of good food. I’m really looking forward to being with my family. It’s been a busy year for me, so I’m excited.”
